Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Alexandra railway station, Melbourne, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. Pinkadelica Say it... 03:25, 26 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

About your recent new articles

I, and many others, appreciate your effort to article these railways, but please add citations and a bit more information to your articles.

Such little information that you have given does not warrant for an article to be made.

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Cathkin railway station, Melbourne, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Cathkin railway station, Melbourne is very short providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Cathkin railway station, Melbourne, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. hangon tags

Please do not create articles with hangon tags, this puts them up for speedy deletion straight off. Gwen Gale (talk) 04:19, 26 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Station articles

Hi there, even though we have permission to use the images from http://www.vicrailstations.com in articles here, we just can't go copy-pasting the entire site into Wikipedia. Another thing to keep in mind is that all stations on a railway line do not necessarily open and close with it, it looks like the articles you have made you have done this.

For an example of a really good railway station article, have a look at Seymour railway station, Victoria or Mangalore railway station, Victoria for a more basic but still good one. I am not sure whether you have access to a big pile of railway books though, some online suggestions are at Talk:Rail transport in Victoria/Station resources. Just remember copy and pasting isn't on. 136.186.1.189 (talk) 23:55, 2 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
