The Oklahoma Senate Election of 2010 will be held on November 4, 2010.



Candidates

Democratic Party

  • Dan Boren Oklahoma's only Democratic member of Congress, , has said he will not run. National support for his candidacy might be light because he did not endorse the democratic candidate during the 2008 presidential Election.
  • Brad Carson former Congressman and 2004 Senate candidate , Carson is a Rhodes scholar and a moderate that ran an effective campaign that outspent Coburn in 2004, but he still lost by double digits.
  • Brad Henry Current Governorm considered to have the best chance, even thought he has also said he would not run in 2010. In 2006 he won reelection with over 66% of the vote.


Republican Party

  • Tom Coburn, First-term Senator, elected with 53% of the vote in 2004. 2008 he had only $69,090 cash on hand, which is much less then comparable senators face also facing reelection in 2010: George Voinovich (R-OH) has $2,579,332, Richard Burr (R-NC) has $979,349, John Thune (R-SD) $3,730,617
