MediaRing Limited

Overview

MediaRing Limited (SGX: M09) is Asia’s leading VoIP telephony service provider with a significant share of the global VoIP market. Since 2005, MediaRing has consistently delivered over 1 billion call minutes yearly through its broad range of high quality voice services to carriers, enterprises, service providers and consumers worldwide. Its strong technological capabilities coupled with an extensive distribution network, and established partnerships with over 100 carriers globally have enabled MediaRing to terminate calls in over 240 countries, 24/7.

MediaRing’s recent strategic acquisitions paved the way in transforming MediaRing as a full fledged IT communications solutions provider. The move has given MediaRing the competitive edge in offering a convergence of Voice and Data services as well as IT-infrastructure support to corporate customers as part of the company’s Enterprise Solutions.

MediaRing is listed in the Singapore Stock Exchange since 1999, and has a global presence in over 10 cities.

Brief History

Founded in 1993, the company was first incorporated in Singapore under the name of Mediacom Technologies Pte Ltd. In October 1999, it became a public limited company under the name MediaRing.com Ltd. In November 2002, the company changed its name to the present – MediaRing Limited – as the company evolved to become a full fledged IT communications solutions provider.

Over the years, MediaRing has grown from its initial ‘dot.com’ business to become Asia’s leading VoIP telephony service provider offering quality voice services at reasonable rates to a wide ranging of customers. The strategic move led to MediaRing’s services reaching out from Asia to the Middle East, Africa and Latin America in a short span of three years.

In 2006, MediaRing took its first step towards transforming itself with the strategic acquisition of NetPlus, an Internet Service Provider. The move enabled MediaRing to include data capability in its service offering.

In 2007, MediaRing acquired a leading IT-infrastructure company, Cavu Corp., who is known for its unique utility model and innovative solutions to corporate customers. Highly complementary to MediaRing’s existing business model, the synergies will pave the way to MediaRing becoming a truly premier IP communications solutions provider in the Asia Pacific region.
