Years of Oscars

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000158/awards

At this page the years of all Oscars and nominations is one year later and it may be correct because then would be the same years than golden globes.

If you clic on the year at this page then it shows the nominations and winners. I think that the page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Academy_Award_for_Best_Actor is bad because the years are the years of the films and not the years of the Oscar celebrations, for example the last year is 2006 althought it should be 2007

I'm sorry for my English, I'm spanish. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.103.33.238 (talk) 11:19, 13 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Per debate and discussion re: assessment of the approximate 100 top priority articles of the project, this article has been included as a top priority article. Wildhartlivie (talk) 12:10, 29 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

1993 Golden Globes

In 1993 he was nominated for best actor on BOTH the drama (Philadelphia) and comedy/musical (Sleepless in Seattle) categories. Has any other actor ever achieved this? If not I think it would be worth a mention in the article. --Scuac (talk) 21:09, 29 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • We don't vote on Wikipedia, and what's the point of attempting to introduce one if you're sitting on the fence? And there wasn't a three-revert violation. Apart from that, though... - Dudesleeper / Talk 14:35, 14 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
At least in the 2004 picture he is looking the right direction (you should always try and choose pictures where the subject is looking into the center of the article if you can help it, instead of looking at the edge that they are on) and it is a clearer picture. Early Career Information Needed

It seems like at least a whole paragraph on Hanks' career has been deleted. Unintentionally? There's nothing about Splash, Bosom Buddies or any of his movies through Dragnet (1987). 75.2.10.156 (talk) 03:33, 4 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Involvement in Mazes and Monsters

Just wondering why Tom Hanks' role in Mazes and Monsters is omitted from his filmography in the article, whether it be at the actor's request or otherwise. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.42.137.13 (talk) 09:19, 13 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Who the HELL is Joshua Adamson?

I met the name Joshua Adamson in the bio, and also two other bios, Stephen Hawking and John Donne. Well, who the hell is that vampire, who was the life-long friend of men both in the 17. and in the 20. century, and about whom they wrote with the same sentence in each article?

I suggest it is a media hack. There is a Joshua Adamson, he edits the Urban Dictionary.com site. Also there is a science student Joshua, etc. Or maybe there is a bored teenager Joshua. Don't you think it is a very stupid way to advertise a name?

Box Office Gross

Source number 1, which was used to determine that he is the 3rd highest grossing actor of all time seems to only show domestic box office numbers. Is there a site that has the list in terms of total box office gross? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.62.4.147 (talk) 05:45, 26 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Personal life

Shouldn't we have a little 'personal life' section which states when he met his wife, got married, had children, etc? That seems to be the norm in most articles about people. I'm not looking for salacious details about his private life, but the article could do with his family having a mention, especially as they are in the film industry too.... 79.69.54.132 (talk) 22:19, 27 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

In "Real Genius"

Part of the article says, "Hanks also appears for a moment as an uncredited extra in the movie Real Genius (1985), when the lead character, Mitch, bumps into him in a crowd."

I can find no verfication of this. I have seen the referenced part of the movie myself, however some say it is Hanks, and others say it is not.

I will add in reference needed

Can anyone verify this? (Trentc (talk) 00:53, 25 February 2009 (UTC))[reply]
