Kal Kissne Dekha (translated as : Who knows what will happen tomorrow ? literally "who has seen tomorrow") is a forthcoming Indian Bollywood film that stars newcomers Jackky Bhagnani and Vaishali Desai in pivotal roles. [1] The film is directed by Vivek Sharma who was the man behind Bhootnath. [2]

Plot

Kal Kissne Dekha is a story about Nihal Singh (Jackky Bhagnani) who is from Chandigarh and loves to build complicated gadgets in his spare time. He has a brilliant mind and dreams of studying in the most elite institute of science. When he is accepted into his dream college in Mumbai city, he discovers college is a whole new world, new people and new challenges. The girl Nihal likes is Meesha (Vaishali Desai). She plays a is proud, rude, college brat and she cannot accept that Nihaal is managing to charm everyone his way in college including Professor Verma (Rishi Kapoor), the warden of the college.

Nihal starts to gets visions of Meesha being in danger. He saves her life and his secret is revealed that he can foresee the future. Post this incident, the love blossoms between Nihal and Meesha. At the same time, the media reports this has a news announcement and Nihal starts getting undue attention from anti-social elements.

Production

The film commenced shooting on June 18, 2008 in the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa.[2] In March 2009, it was announced that Azharuddin Mohammed Ismail and Rubina Ali, two of the child stars of Slumdog Millionaire (2008), have been cast in Kal Kissne Dekha. It has also been announced that the film will feature the Bollywood stars Akshay Kapoor, Shah Rukh Khan, Rishi Kapoor and Juhi Chawla in cameo roles.[3][4]

The film in its filming stage was being shot in the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa. Durban and Cape Town are the other locations where the the filming of the movie has taken place. [2].[5]

The film has been extensively shot in a town called Stellenbosch, near Cape Town, South Africa. All the major sequences with the university as the backdrop have been shot in the beautiful University of Stellenbosch. The prominent oaks in stellenbosch can be clearly seen in many of the scenes. One of the dance numbers was shot in the University library.

Kal Kissne Dekha was originally scheduled for release in April 2009 but was delayed by the Bollywood producers' strike. The movie was supposed to release on May 29 across India but it wasn't possible and actor Aamir Khan suggested Vashu Bhagnani to release it on June 5, 2009. [6] [7]
