Meta Tags, what are they
Meta tags are HTML information[1] inserted into the head of the webpage to provide information about the page to a search engine. They are not seen by visitors to the site. Meta tags can be used as keyword tags and description tags. The keywords and phrases we came up with will help us with Titles, Meta Keywords, and Meta Descriptions. Meta tags go in between the start and end of the page’s HEAD tag. Below is what it should look like when I place a title, a meta description tag, and a meta keywords tag:
<HEAD>
<TITLE>How to use meta tags</TITLE>
<META name=”description” content=”Everything you wanted to know about meta tags, title and description.”>
<META name=”keywords” content=”meta tags, information, guide, html building, search engine”>
</HEAD>
