"Be Good to Me" is a song by Ashley Tisdale from her debut album Headstrong. The song was released as the album's lead single in the United States on December 25, 2006 and in South America in January, 2007. The album version features rap vocals by David Jassy.

Song information and reception

"Be Good to Me" debuted on AOL Music: First Listen on December 28, 2006.[1] The song on the album Radio Disney Jams, Vol. 10 on January 22, 2008.

This song is featured in the 2007 film Bring It On: In It to Win It. On iTunes, the song was released as Double-A-Side with her other single "He Said She Said" but later each song received own CD single. "Be Good To Me" with her version of "Kiss The Girl" is featured in children's toothbrush released by the Tiger Electronics division of Hasbro, Tooth Tunes.[2]. "Be Good To Me" rolls through with a mid-tempo dance track that features an additional rap segment leading up to the bridge.[3]

First version

Tisdale did not shoot a music video for "Be Good To Me". Instead the video shows Tisdale performing the song on one of the concerts for the tour High School Musical: The Concert. In the video, Tisdale is running down and dancing around a rusted blue bridge surrounded by four boys with a large screen in the background that switched vibrantly colored designs. The video used the radio edit, which does not feature the rap vocals by David Jassy. The video premiered on MTV's music video chart program Total Request Live on January 10, 2007.

Second version

A new version of the video premiered on Germany's Viva on November 18, 2008. The video shows the same performance footage and home videos of Tisdale. The rap version of the song is used in the video. The version features J.R. Rotem, Kara DioGuardi, Monique Coleman, Vanessa Minillo, Corbin Bleu, Evan Bogart, Josh Henderson, Jennifer Tisdale and Brenda Song.

Charts

The single entered on the Billboard Hot 100 at position ninety-six.
