Football Glory
Football Glory (Fußball Total! in German-speaking countries) is a 1994 football computer game developed by Croteam and published by Black Legend that became famous due to the many similarities with Sensible Software's Sensible Soccer. While it peaked as high as second in the Amiga sales chart, Sensible Software legally pressured Croteam and forced their debut title off the shelves.
In essence a clone of Sensible Soccer, Football Glory included several new features such as overhead and heel kicks, more animations (including female streakers, policeman chasing hooligans, and cartoon-like talking bubbles), for which many claimed the game being better than the original. It was released for both IBM compatibles and Commodore Amiga.
With the axe of a possible lawsuit over the company, Croteam turned the game into a Five-a-side game, first with Football Glory indoors (1996) and then with Five-A-Side soccer (1998). Both the first and final games were later released freely to the public in 2000.
