Rollback (add request)

User:Dogposter

A week or two ago, I began to be a recent changes patroller with Twinkle. However, I think Twinkle reverting is a bit to slow, as I repeatedly get edit conflicts with users who use Huggle. I would like rollback to more efficiently remove vandalism, or use Huggle, because you have to be a rollbacker in order to use it. Dogposter 22:34, 2 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Done I did a detailed review of your recent reverts and found no problems. Acalamari 22:44, 2 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

User:Gaelen S.

I applied for rollback close to a week ago but was turned down because of a lack of counter-vandalism edits. However I am applying again with a better record than before. I mainly want rollback because I am typically strapped for time and am unable to spend the typical amount on tediously repairing different pieces of vandalism. However, I would still like to do my part in cleaning up Wikipedia and rollback can help make that happen. Thanks, Gaelen 02:13, 2 September 2009 (UTC)
Done Despite past declines, I think you're fine now: all your recent reverts I reviewed were good, as were the warnings you gave to the vandals. Acalamari 02:17, 2 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
If you have any insight into this user's history could you comment on a thread concerning them? at WP:AN#User:Gaelen S.. Thanks,--David - (Wikipedia Vandal Fighter). 22:00, 2 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to Use wp:Huggle but I can't because I don't have rollback. so it would be nice to have it. Rockstone (talk) 21:09, 1 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have been a Wikipedia editor since 2006, and a large part of the work I do here involves fighting vandalism. Having a more reliable rollback feature would be of great help. Thank you for your consideration! Ali (t)(c) 21:33, 31 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I've been using MWT for anti-vandalism but am tired of the script errors and random crashes under Windows Vista. Alan (talk) 19:10, 31 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

User:Pgallert

I have used undo and the Twinkle rollback before and only recently learned that this feature is still different from the two. I'm not explicitly into vandal-fighting but come across a lot of articles that might not be watched by many, including at NPP. Pgallert (talk) 10:02, 31 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

User:Rehman_Abubakr

This request is actually "delayed". I am an active editor for over a year and a patroller on stub and "untouched" articles. I was really needing this feature sometime back when i came across tons of vandalism, but never knew that this feature existed. Please do look back (or way back) in my edit history if needed. It would be a time-saver and a great support to my editing if this can be done. Thank you.
Done Please make sure you familiarize yourself with WP:ROLLBACK and what is NOT vandalism before using rollback in earnest. If you'd like you can check out Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback for some more info (don't worry about not being an admin). Thanks for helping out! Thank you. Much appreciated. Have a nice day. Rehman (talk) 09:30, 31 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

User:Declan_Davis

I have been an active editor for over a year. I have made almost 1,500 edits. I correct vandalism whenever I find it. I try to encourage IP user to register themselves. I have found cases of vandalism that have not been reverted, and the edits have continued: meaning at least 10 un-dos; this has been a nightmare to resolve. The bottom line is that I am an established, trustworthy editor that would appreciate more controls over the pages I encounter so that I can work more effectivly for the community. ~~ Dr Dec (Talk) ~~ 00:33, 31 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Not done per very recent edit warring; indeed, I must question your motives for requesting rollback, unfortunately. –Juliancolton | Talk 00:40, 31 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Concur w/ the above decision. Protonk (talk) 00:44, 31 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

User:CinchBug

I've been actively fighting vandalism by patrolling the Recent Changes page and would like the Rollback tool to help me be more effective (if given the tool, I'm also considering downloading and using Huggle, since it seems to help make vandalism-fighters much more efficient). I believe I have a good record of good faith editing and I understand that Rollback is only to be used for fighting vandalism. Thank you for considering my request. • CinchBug • 18:34, 30 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I am an active New Page patroller, and I watch articles which have been subject to vandalism like Chiranjeevi and Nandamuri Balakrishna. Every one of my edits so far have been in good faith and I would not use rollback for anything but reverting vandalism. GSMR (talk) 16:24, 30 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Subscribing to the Wikignome theory of editing, I would greatly appreciate rollback permission in order to simplify, expediate, and consolidate my mission. Ngorongoro (talk) 06:35, 30 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

User:Gaelen S.

I just recently applied for roll back and was turned down because I had very little vandal fighting experience. However I have improved my vandal fighting contributions and have at least 20 or 30 vandal fighting related contributions. If anybody could look at my profile I would be quite grateful.  Not done - As I understand it your last request was declined yesterday. Please wait at least a week before re-applying. –Juliancolton | Talk 20:26, 29 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to help reduce vandalism on wikipedia pday2387 (talk) 20:04, 31 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Not done. Sorry, but we generally like to see more experience with reverting vandalism before granting a user rollback. Try spending time at Special:RecentChanges reverting vandalism, and re-apply in a week or so. Best, JamieS93 20:08, 31 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
