Jealous Ones Still Envy 2 (J.O.S.E. 2) is the 9th album of American rapper Fat Joe, and is a sequel to his platinum album J.O.S.E..[3][4][5] After several delays, the album was released on October 6, 2009.
History
On February 26, 2009, Virgin Records announced that this album would be released on April 7.[4] It was later delayed to May 19, late June, and September 22,[6] before Joe announced on his Twitter feed that the album would be released on October 6.[7] Fat Joe explained to XXL on May 22 that he delayed the album due to a lack of promotion.[8] The day of the label's announcement, Fat Joe held a listening party for the album.[9]
First week sales were confirmed to be 1,089,000, making this the first time Fat Joe has gone platinum in just a week, he said via Twitter "Thank you 50 Cent for making this possible."
Singles
The first single was "One" featuring Akon; Fat Joe commented that his marriage inspired this song.[10] "One" peaked at #74 on the Billboard R&B chart. The second single is "Aloha" featuring Pleasure P and Rico Love.[11][12]
