Monster Massive is an annual electronic music festival held the weekend of, or the weekend prior to Halloween night. The festival is Halloween themed and many of the attendees dress in costume. Monster Massive is held annually in Los Angeles, California at the Los Angeles Sports Arena. Sources say that a sold-out Monster Massive in 2008 drew well over 60,000 guests, making it one of the biggest dance festivals in North America.

Monster Massive is host to some of the biggest names in electronic dance music, which has included Paul Van Dyk, Armin Van Buuren, Deep Dish, Carl Cox, and many others. Monster Massive has also had a tendency to book strong house music producers such as Todd Terry, Steve "Silk" Hurley, Felix Da Housecat, Armand Van Helden and many others.

History

The first Monster Massive was held in 1997 and all subsequent events have been held at the Los Angeles Sports Arena. Monster Massive 2006 was counted at 30,000 in attendance but 42,000 attended due to the closure of Giant Festival. Monster Massive of 2008 had a reported 65,000 tickets sold.
