Principles
We believe that people need to understand the basic principles of logical thinking in order to be equipped in meeting the increasing technical demands brought about by information revolution
We believe that the study of the principles of logical thinking is an indispensable tool for scholars in generating knowledge that can empower the people in the society permeated by information technology.
We believe that as students of the premier state university, we are responsible for enriching and utilizing the education entrusted to us for the good of the people.
We believe that by intentional collaboration in discussing and supporting research in logic we can help ourselves become better scholars and enhance our capabilities to produce effective practical knowledge for the good of the people
We believe that as students with special interests in logic, we should have a venue where in our intellectual energies can be utilized collectively both for our own enjoyment and the good of others.
Aims and Objectives
Aside from the departments of philosophy, mathematics, computer science, and linguistics, we aim to gather and organize students and other individuals from within the University who have special interests in the study of logic.
Eu in Greek means good and logos means reasoning. Eulogica stands for a world or an experience of good reasoning. As signified by the name of our organization, UP EULOGICA, we aim to promote the good that the study of logic can bring.
We aim to make others understand and appreciate that if studied properly logic is both enjoyable and useful.
We aim to identify all the contributions that members of the university have made in logic in form of theses, dissertations, published and unpublished papers and make ourselves and others aware of them. Past works will be included in the annual UP EULOGICA INDEX. Upcoming works will be posted in the regular UP EULOGICA BULLETIN.
We aim to organize regular discussions in logic, which we will call UP EULOGICA FORUM.
