Episodes

Friend or Foe

Template:Infobox SpongeBob episode Patchy the Pirate and Potty the Parrot get jobs at a restaurant called "The Poop Deck" to be like Spongebob. Patchy has ideas which Potty disagrees so Patchy takes the day off and goes home crying. The next day Potty comes to Patchy in Manager clothes. Patchy thinks Potty came to apologize which is also true but she also came to tell Patchy to get back to work. Patchy is about to say that Potty can't tell him what to do, but is upset when he sees the boss of the Restaurant "Mr. Pirateson" gave Potty the job of Assistant Manager. After another argument Patchy starts to throw Patties at Potty, but one of them hits Mr. Pirateson. After the episode Patchy claims he took time off but Potty tells the viewers that both of them got fired. Patchy is replaced by a Gorilla much to his dismay.

It's Mr. Krab's, birthday, and Plankton makes him a birthday cake and tries to steal the formula by hiding inside it but fails. Then Mr. Krabs says that he was friends with Plankton and tells the story of their friendship, which is not entirely true. Plankton then tells his side of the story, which is false as well. The formula is seen and revealed in this episode when Karen gives the real story, saying that Plankton accidentally knocked several jars into their burger recipe, and that is the Krabby Patty formula. It is also revealed that Plankton was born on the same day as Mr. Krabs. Mr. Krabs blames Plankton by telling a false story of Plankton ruining their friendship but Plankton blames Krabs by telling his version of the story. Karen comes in time to say that both stories are false and the real story was about. Plankton and Krabs making their own burger and ask 'Old Man Jenkins' to try it but it kills him and Plankton and Krabs blame each other for Jenkins' death and their friendship is over. Then Plankton makes Chum Burgers for the school but Krabs however discovered the perfect recipe and his "Krabby Patties" are very delicious and the kids like Krabs' burgers better and Plankton vows that he will try to steal the recipe one day.

  • Note; There are two slight continuity errors in this episode. The first is the reaction when Mr. Krabs says that he and Plankton were best friends. They all gasp, particularly SpongeBob. However, in Krabs vs. Plankton, Plankton says they used to be friends, but SpongeBob is not shocked at all. The second error is more noticeable, when Karen says that Plankton made the recipe for the Krabby Patty, but this may not be true because in Enemy in Law, Mr. Krabs says the Krabby Patty formula is an old family recipe. Also, the recipe is revealed if the viewers look closely but it is the poisonus mixture and pots and pans with bottles. If you think about it, there is a third one. In Enemy in Law, Plankton attempts to marry Krabs' mother, but since Krabs and Plankton were born on the same day, there is a chance that Krabs' new father could have been younger than him!

The Original Fry Cook

Template:Infobox SpongeBob episode SpongeBob tries to impress a world-renowned chef named Jim, who once worked at the Krusty Krab. SpongeBob realizes Jim is much better than him, so he writes Mr. Krabs a resignation letter because he is sure that he is going to be fired anyway and Jim will take is going to take his job. However, he later discovers that he won't be fired, and Jim only came to visit. Jim also reveals that the main reason that he quit working at the Krusty Krab was because he demanded that Mr. Krabs give him more money, and Mr. Krabs to interpretted it as an uproariously funny joke. Jim tells SpongeBob that, while he is a good cook, he will only be a great one when he quits the Krusty Krab.

Night Light

Template:Infobox SpongeBob episode After reading a novel about monsters, SpongeBob quickly develops a fear of the dark and buys a bunch of night lights to keep the dark away, and after Patrick joins in the mission to banish all of the darkness in SpongeBob's home, the two bring in many lights, and enough lights to bring in the super-villain "The Moth" in, too.

Rise and Shine

Template:Infobox SpongeBob episode SpongeBob wakes up one morning wondering what Patrick's daily routine in the morning is like. This episode reveals that Patrick is most forgetful and disorganized in the morning, forgetting that "the food is in the can," "where is that ringing noise coming from?" (the alarm clock), etc.

Waiting

Template:Infobox SpongeBob episode SpongeBob gets enough cereal box tops to get a prize in the mail. SpongeBob wants his prize really badly so he stands by the mail waiting for it. Patrick starts waiting with him. The toy comes and they think they have broken it. Squidward comes and tells them the toy was supposed to "break" and the two are relieved.

Fungus Among Us

Template:Infobox SpongeBob episode SpongeBob wakes up finding Gary eating a green piece of goop on the floor. SpongeBob gets some on him but goes to work anyway, unaware of the imminent consequences. He later finds out it is the Ick, a terrible fungal infection that causes extreme itchiness. Eventually, the Ick spreads to everyone in the Krusty Krab (staff, customers). But Gary eats the Ick fungus off of everybody, thus curing them.

Spy Buddies

Template:Infobox SpongeBob episode Mr. Krabs apparently sends SpongeBob and Patrick to find out what Plankton is up to. Then SpongeBob makes a gunbarrel sequence (the real cause was Patrick was looking at SpongeBob from a straw). SpongeBob and Patrick go around town spying on Plankton and his various activities. When Plankton attacks the Krusty Krab, Patrick retaliates by blowing his blimp up.

SpongeBob and Patrick discover that in reality, Mr. Krabs and Plankton switched places to see how hard it is to live each other's lives. Later, SpongeBob wrongly assumes that Squidward is actually someone else in disguise and rips his face off, only to discover that he is Squidward. Squidward tells him that it's not a disguise, reclaims his face and leaves. Later, SpongeBob and Patrick see there are "two Particks".

  • Note the second Patrick is a reference to X-23 from X-Men comics.

Boat Smarts

Template:Infobox SpongeBob episode Mrs. Puff (and everybody else in Bikini Bottom who is deeply afraid of the consequences of letting a reckless driver like SpongeBob on the road) produce a video of how to be a good driver, and what a bad driver is like, and discourages bad driving. She uses Squidward as the good driver, and SpongeBob as the bad one (obviously). She explains how one can be like Squidward, and in the end SpongeBob destroys the whole town. He then claims that he actually has boat smarts, and says "Looks like you forgot your boat smarts" to Squidward and Mrs. Puff.

Good Ol' Whatshisname

Template:Infobox SpongeBob episode Mr. Krabs tells SpongeBob and Squidward that if they learn the names of all who dine at the Krusty Krab, they will win a prize. Squidward and SpongeBob are even in the contest; Squidward tries to find out the last guy's name to win. When Squidward asks him for his name, he seemingly says, "What's it to ya?". Squidward steals his driver's license, only to discover the guy's name is "What Zit Tooya". The police haul Squidward off to jail, where he's nevertheless convinced he will be released in ten years and go on a fabulous ocean liner cruise. While there, Mr. Krabs arrives to tell him otherwise: he's only won a brochure, which disappoints him. Squidward becomes happy that he can have peace and quiet for Ten Years but suddenly Squidward notices Patrick as his cellmate and Patrick says "Hey Squidward." and asks for a game of Parcheesi and Squidward becomes sad because he hates Patrick and he collapses into pieces.

New Digs

Template:Infobox SpongeBob episode One day SpongeBob is a minute late for work and is worried that Mr. Krabs might be mad at him. He tries his best to impress Mr. Krabs by being an on-time employee. Then, inspired by a sarcastic suggestion from Squidward, SpongeBob gets an idea: he will now live at the Krusty Krab so he will never be tardy again. Soon he goes too far, as he carelessly mixes his life at home with the Krusty Krab, displacing things everywhere. Angered, Mr. Krabs kicks SpongeBob out, and he and Squidward are neighbours again. Squidward finds this a frustration, so he moves in to the Krusty Krab. Mr. Krabs doesn't like the idea.

Krabs a La Mode

Template:Infobox SpongeBob episode

Mr. Krabs owns a very precious thermostat, that he forbids anyone to touch (also he forbids children in his front yard). That day Plankton plans to freeze the Krusty Krab out of business. That night, when all of the staff and customers leave, Plankton sets it to -15 degrees and tapes a "62 degrees" sign over it, runs a faucet, allowing water to fill the Krusty Krab, and opens the freezer; freezing the Krusty Krab and filling it with ice. The next day, Squidward is upset about the frozen restaurant, but Mr Krabs refuses to turn it up. Squidward is unable to deliver the Krabby Patties to the customers because of the ice. The customers leave like Plankton planned- but they then decide to come back (this time with winter clothes), much to Plankton's dismay. Everyone is soon playing around with the frozen patties, with a local hockey team deciding to play hockey with them for example. Mr. Krabs takes this to his advantage by charging the frozen patties. Plankton gets upset that Mr. Krabs is making more money than ever, so he plans to invade the Krusty Krab. He does, but fails to get the formula. Plankton then reveals what he has done to the thermostat, and then uses the thermostat to freeze everyone in the Krusty Krab, but loses his balance and turns the thermostat dial he was using, thus unfreezing them. Mr. Krabs then uses the thermostat to freeze Plankton into an ice cube.

Mr. Krabs melts the water into a swimming pool where Patrick, Spongebob, Squidward, and the customers swim in. Mr. Krabs is seen lounging in the pool on an inflatable chair, and Plankton is an in ice cube in the lemonade he's drinking from.

Roller Cowards

Template:Infobox SpongeBob episode A new ride called "The Fiery Fist o' Pain" opens at Glove World(top speed:455 mph) and SpongeBob and Patrick want to ride it. That night, they both have bad dreams about it, and change their minds, unknown to each other. Once they get to Glove World, SpongeBob and Patrick go on all the kiddie rides, both trying to avoid the new coaster without disclosing their fears. When they finally go on it, they like it and want to go on it again. But before they can go on it again, they have a little bit of trouble as their spines detach from their bodies.

Bucket Sweet Bucket

Template:Infobox SpongeBob episode Karen yells at Plankton for making the Chum Bucket dirty and wants him to get somebody to clean it. Plankton gets SpongeBob, Patrick, and Squidward to do it. Plankton sneaks into the Krusty Krab to get the formula while everybody is gone. When he does, he finds out it is just Mr. Krabs "to do" list. The three transform the Chum Bucket into the Krusty Krab. Mr. Krabs returns from his vacation to Africa and takes back the Krusty Krab. He revealed that he took his formula with him on his vacation, saying that he "isn't stupid enough to leave his formula behind on vacation".

To Love a Patty

Template:Infobox SpongeBob episode SpongeBob makes a Krabby Patty that looked like a beautiful girl inside. He doesn't want anyone to eat it, but Squidward takes it out to the customer. SpongeBob saves the Patty, takes it home and falls in love with it on the way. He decides to take a walk with the Patty. But Patrick wants to play a game they both invented, "Tie your best buddy in knots". Sandy wants to play Karate. SpongeBob tells them about the Patty and leaves. Patrick is upset because he's been "replaced by a Sandwich". SpongeBob goes to a Carnival, the beach, and on a boat ride with the Patty although since then the Patty has become "old and ugly and dirty". At their date at the Krusty Krab, Mr. Krabs says Patties are made for eating, not dating. SpongeBob understands and he is forced to eat it.

Breath of Fresh Squidward

Template:Infobox SpongeBob episode Squidward finds out SpongeBob and Patrick come to his House every morning to watch the Sunrise since The Fourth of July, Valentines Day and Easter and since they knew him, so he has built an electric fence. After an electrical injury, he starts to like SpongeBob and Patrick. SpongeBob thinks Squidward is trying to steal Patrick from him, and makes Squidward go home after he has a party at Patrick's house. Squidward gets shocked by his own fence again and goes back to normal, but SpongeBob and Patrick also get shocked and they become grumpy and very mean, just like Squidward. The grumpy trio then start yelling at each other.

Money Talks

Template:Infobox SpongeBob episode Mr. Krabs wishes he that he could talk to money. Then the Flying Dutchman shows up because he heard his wish, and tells him he will grant it if he sells his soul to him. Mr. Krabs agrees. He gains the ability to talk to money. The money starts talking to him, but they bug him about what they want to be spent on. They drive him crazy, and then the Flying Dutchman shows up, expecting Krabs to give him his soul. However, Mr. Krabs tells him that he already sold his soul. The Flying Dutchman finds that a group of beings (which consists of several other ghosts and SpongeBob SquarePants [because he was 5 dollars short on pay day]) all share a claim on Mr. Krabs' soul, and they tell him to "get to the end of the line".

This episode was named after the AC/DC song, Moneytalks, off the 1991 album, "The Razor's Edge."

SpongeBob vs. the Patty Gadget

Template:Infobox SpongeBob episode An episode in the form of poem that is read out loud by Patchy the Pirate.

Squidward suggests that SpongeBob should be replaced by a robot that could create Krabby Patties at a high speed that he Invented. SpongeBob hates the idea and Mr. Krabs is about to fire SpongeBob, but SpongeBob challenges the Machine. Squidward is at first winning, but SpongeBob gains confidence, and goes faster than the Robot. Squidward breaks the handle and loses, but SpongeBob is so tired that he drops to the ground. Everybody thinks SpongeBob died, but it turns out he survived, and that the machine is now disposed beneath the sea bottom.

  • This episode is a parody of the tall tale about John Henry.
  • The narration and dialogue in this episode make heavy use of rhyming.

Slimy Dancing

Template:Infobox SpongeBob episode Squidward competes against SpongeBob and Patrick in a dance contest. Squidward did not make it to the finals, contrary to his expectations, but SpongeBob and Patrick do. They ask Squidward how he did, but he lies that he's so great, he's been banned from the competition. SpongeBob and Patrick ask him to be their mentor. While doing so, Patrick gets a cramp in his pants and Squidward finds himself in SpongeBob's body. He decides to control the sponge's moves so he take credit if SpongeBob wins. SpongeBob wins, but is disqualified when Squidward is discovered. Many of the finalists have been dancing with assistance, and are thus disqualified on the basis of cheating. Patrick wins the competition by default because he was the only one who did not cheat, although there is still a cramp in his pants (which is treated as a dance).

In the epilogue, the Cramp becomes the latest dance craze.

The Krusty Sponge

Template:Infobox SpongeBob episode A food critic named Gene Scallop comes to the Krusty Krab to review the restaurant. At first, he says the management stinks and "you can get livlier help in a graveyard". As a last resort, Mr. Krabs serves him a Krabby Patty, which gives them a good review. In the review, the restaurant is praised because of SpongeBob and his excellent frycook skills. People start liking SpongeBob and his food, so Mr. Krabs turns the restaurant into the "Krusty Sponge" which is SpongeBob-themed. While SpongeBob is forced to take the customers on a train ride around the restaurant several times, the Spongy Patty becomes the new attraction, which little did the customers know, were useless patties they didn't have room for in the freezer, and when they eat it, they become ill and get yellow skin (with some dark yellow spots). Mr. Krabs is arrested on the charge of food poisoning and has to go to court, but the judge is a huge SpongeBob fan, so Mr. Krabs bribes him and gets acquitted, although Squidward is forced to drive the judge around on the SpongeBob Train as many times as the judge wants.

Sing a Song of Patrick

Template:Infobox SpongeBob episode Patrick sees an offer in a comic book telling him that if you write a song and send it to a certain record company, you will be paid $100. Patrick sees this as an opportunity, goes home, and tries to brainstorm ideas for a song but is worried that if people don't like his song he will be bombarded with dodgeballs. Patrick finally comes up with an idea for a song, writes it down, and sends it to the record company. However, the song was so bad, the band died while recording it. But Patrick and SpongeBob like the song and try to broadcast it to all of Bikini Bottom, but the radio station employees reject, so they decide to broadcast it to Bikini Bottom from the top of the radio tower and it works. All the Bikini Bottom citizens dislike it.

99(193)(194) November 23, 2007 "The Two Faces of Squidward" SpongeBob and Squidward are at work one day, and SpongeBob breaks Squidward's face. Squidward has to get plastic surgery. Once he is done, he is handsome. All the Bikini Bottomites fall for him. Squidward likes it until the people start to get in his way and even do things to him that bother him. Squidward tells SpongeBob to break his face again. He does, but that makes Squidward more handsome. Squidward is hit by a falling shoe, so hits a pole and turns back to normal, which dismays Mr. Krabs, who liked Squidward's in his handsome forms because it attracted customers. Seeing that, Mr. Krabs immediately starts trying to break Squidward's face to bring everyone back.
"SpongeHenge"

A harsh and extremely powerful windstorm occurs in Bikini Bottom, causing many problems. SpongeBob goes outside, and the wind starts to make music through his pores. The music attracts a little jellyfish. SpongeBob starts to like his little friend until more jellyfish start to come. SpongeBob runs away from them and goes into a cave. SpongeBob stays in the cave for a long time, so long he grows hair. SpongeBob builds a stone statue of himself and sends it outside the cave to make music to get the jellyfish to go away from him. SpongeBob finds it is not enough, so he goes into the cave again and makes more, larger ones, and send them outside. The jellyfish like it, and are distracted from SpongeBob, so he gets away. He goes to the Krusty Krabs, only to find that the wind has caused the restaurant to be engulfed in sand. He says, "How long have I been gone?!", and yells, "Nooooooooooooooooooooooo!".

3,000 years later, a race of strange cyborgs (presumably of alien origin) have somehow appeared in Bikini Bottom. The giant SpongeBob statues have become a major tourist attraction, and the cyborgs wonder who made them.

100(195)(196) November 23, 2007 "Banned in Bikini Bottom" An elderly lawmaker named "Mrs. Gristlepuss" comes into the Krusty Krab and bans Krabby Patties for being fun. Mr. Krabs tries to sell them secretly at SpongeBob's house, but is apparently unaware of how awful he is at keeping it a secret, so Plankton soon discovers this, and calls the police. However, Mrs. Gristlepuss accidentally has a Krabby Patty get into her mouth. But when she tastes it, she enjoys it and decides to lift the ban on Krabby Patties.
"Stanley S. SquarePants" SpongeBob's cousin, Stanley, comes to visit. However, Stanley messes up almost every single thing he touches (or in the case of the fridge, empties). This bothers SpongeBob. Stanley gets a job at the Krusty Krab— but whenever he messes things up, SpongeBob willingly blames himself for Stanley's messes. But SpongeBob eventually can't take this any more, and SpongeBob tells Mr. Krabs about how he was constantly covering up for Stanley's mishaps. But Mr. Krabs has an idea— he tells Stanley to get a job at the Chum Bucket, assuming he will mess things up there. Plankton hires Stanley, thinking that his fry cook skills would be as good as SpongeBob's, as Stanley is related to him by blood. But Stanley accidentally destroys the Chum Bucket.
