Stéphane Auvray (born September 4, 1981 in Les Abymes) is a Guadeloupean footballer who currently plays for Kansas City Wizards in Major League Soccer.
Career
Club
Born in Guadeloupe, he left the island at 14 for Saint Martin and moved on to Europe to join SM Caen's youth system. He recently left French Ligue 2 club Nîmes Olympique for personal reasons.[1] Auvray later signed with Major League Soccer club Kansas City Wizards[2].
International
Auvray made his debut for Guadeloupe at the CONCACAF Gold Cup in June 2007 against Haiti.The team made it to the Semi finals but was eliminated by Mexico. He renewed the experience for the Concacaf Gold Cup 2009 as Captain. He scored one goal during the competition against Nicaragua. Guadeloupe qualified for the Quarter Finals but was eliminated by Costa Rica.
