Miley Jab Hum Tum (When We Met) is a popular show aired from Monday to Friday on STAR One, a television channel in India. It is a story of six college friends from diverse backgrounds. The show premièred on STAR One on September 22, 2008.
Plot
Miley Jab Hum Tum is set in Excel College. This college has its own heartthrobs - Mayank and Samrat. They are completely opposite whereas Samrat loves to get attention from all the girls in Excel College while Mayank would rather keep focus on his studies. The college also has its 'Queen Bee' which is Dia. Dia's two cousins, Gunjan and Nupur come from a rural town known as Morena to Mumbai and join Excel. As the show progresses, both Gunjan and Nupur find their place with the hip college crowd and find love interests in Samrat and Mayank. Mayank and Nupur start off rough but slowly fall for each other. Samrat and Gunjan start of as the closest friends ever but it all falls apart when Sheena enters. But Sheena's entry actually makes both Samrat and Gunjan realize how special their friendship is. Sheena eventually leaves the show after figuring out that Gunjan loves Samrat and that Samrat can't end his friendship with her. There is also a sidetrack where Dia's love interest, Ran-Vijay (also known as RV) tries to frame Samrat in an drunk-driving accident. He also manages insulting Dia in front of the entire Excel. He eventually ends up in jail. They carry on with there lives but when Gunjan and Nupur's Bui decides to get Nupur married, they introduce two new characters Suhani and Adiraj.Adhiraj is the college's new basketball coach and also sent by Bui to get him married to Nupur. Suhani enters Excel with a 'fake' identiy to hide the fact that she is related to Samrat. This causes problems between Samrat and Gunjan. Suhaani and Adhiraj fall in love with each other. Adhiraj mistakens her for Nupur and Nupur decides to use Suhani so that she wouldn't have to marry him. When the truth comes out about Suhani, this causes a rift between Adhiraj and Suhani. Samrat also gets upset at Gunjan for keeping the truth away from him when she had known all along that suhani is his sister. Samrat is convinced by Mayank that he shouldn't keep an ego with his sister. Samrat hated his sister because of an incident that occurred in his childhood.
Mayank and Nupur also have an issue when Mayank had warned Nupur to not use Suhani in the first place or else Adhiraj will be hurt. Everything seems well when everyone is not angry with anybody when Adhiraj steps into Nupur's house and asks for her hand in marriage to her Bui. Nupur gets worried when her Bui accepts. Lots of drama begins when Nupur has to face not only her Bui but also her father to tell that she is in love with Mayank. Suhani is confused about Adhiraj's actions when she knows that he loves her and she loves him too. But Adhiraj is in the state of confusion that Suhani does not love him.
Lots of misunderstandings occur when the truth of Mayank and Nupur is found out by everyone! And when her father doesn't agree, everything goes wrong when they try to make things right. Her father gets them married but afterwards admits that he doesn't accept this marriage. He believes that Mayank would not be able to take care of Nupur because he is a middle class guy.
The journey of how Mayank and Nupur survive with financial problems is a bumpy one but with the help of their friends, all goes well. Mayank's mother accepts their marriage but is unable to live with them since she works in another city.
Adhiraj and Suhani confess their love and are now happy together. So are the other couples. But everything starts to go wrong when Gunjan thinks that Samrat is going to propose her for marriage. When Gunjan finds out that Samrat doesn't even want to get married, her heart breaks. She leaves him at the Valentines party and gets shot but some guys who were eve teasing her. Adhiraj tried to save her but he was too late.
A political issue is involved that ends up with Gunjan losing her legs, Adhiraj in jail, and Nupur beaten.
After the issue is over, Samrat plans to get Gunjan on her feet again and is eventually successful.
Next story is inspired from Heyy Babyy . The baby is creating misunderstandings between the couples .They also introduce two new characters. A couple of days later, the boys hire D4 (A detective) to find out the mother of the baby, while the girls hire Tania(Another detective) to find out the father of the baby. DNA report reveals the truth that none of them are the father of baby. While Suhani was going to London, Adhiraj proposes her for marriage and she agrees to marry him in London. All the couples are now playing April fool pranks. Soon there is a new character to be entering to show to cause major problems between the couples. A new character Neil Oberoi, famous movie director, enters the series. He also turns out to be Gunjan's senior in moreana who liked her. He has come to Excel College to find Gunjan (Gunjan used to call neil chamku!).Neil's recent movie is based on his and Gunjan's love story(according to him)and wants Gunjan to act in it.
On the other hand, Mayank and Nupur are both trying to sort out their life goals and ambitions. They both decided to enrol for a job scholorship. They decide that they would tell each other when they get the scholorship, as a surprise present. Mayank and Nupur are constantly in the library and Nupur accidentally shows Mayank a book that talks about motherhood in attempt to conceal her real motive. Mayank stars panicking and starts thinking that Nupur wants to start a family. A few days later, Nupur gets a call from the person who gives out the scholorship saying that she has recieved. Mayank hears her talking o the phone. He hears he calling someone doctor and thinks that he is an actual doctor. Mayank thinks that she has gotten the news that she is pregnant. Panicked, Mayank starts to lose track of time. Because of this he misses his last interview for the scholorship and thus doesnt get it. Upset he returns home and has a row with Nupur about it. He is upset becuase she got the scholorship and he didnt because of the misunderstanding of the pregnancy. he blames all this on Nupur and Nupur says that they should spend some time apart. Mayank agrees to this and Nupur says that she is leaving for Delhi for a scholorship training camp.
