Name

Shouldn't his name be spelled Sergei? That's the only way I've ever seen it spelled until I saw his profile here

Source for him winning hand-to-hand combat titles in Russian army is him saying it on google videos (the short video where he slams Fedor, it's all in Russian)

his name IS Sergei, not Sergey. It's official, this is how they call him on all fight cards.

== i agree, i've only seen it spelled as Sergei. maybe in other countries its spelled different. but in english i've only seen it as Sergei

what happen to the mighty mo fight. i cant find results anywhere. did it even happen? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.247.69.78 (talk) 20:32, 1 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

His name is Сергей, and since the Cyrillic alphabet does not have the same letters which make the same sounds as the Latin alphabet, there is a whole bunch of ways you can romanize his name. It can be Sergey or Sergei, it really doesn't matter since it is still pronounced the same way. However, the article's move was still warranted as WP:RUS advises to use the most common transliteration for article names.--71.112.145.203 (talk) 00:02, 21 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

==actually i think it is more properly sergey after doing research. his name is Сергей in russian, the й translates to the letter y. but all the fight cards i see say Sergei. kinda the same with fedor's spelling really translates to fyodor.

according to the wikipedia page dream 6 sergei is fighting someone else now 24.213.49.51 (talk) 19:17, 22 September 2008 (UTC)ski[reply]

loss to Martin Malkhasyan

Russian Vale Tudo - Sergei Kharitonov vs. Martin Malkhasyan.wmv www.valetudo.ru Loss on 4:56 first round to a weird submission from Martin. I didn't even see what the submission was but Sergei fought through the pain in position for like 30 seconds and then tapped. Looks like a foot extension submission, whatever its called.

Not sure if it is MMA record - but it was a big fight. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.175.88.120 (talk) 00:40, 29 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

"ufc 107"

There's nothing about him fighting Nog in the link provided, or anywhere on the web, for that matter. Senor Vergara (talk) 01:57, 24 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

feud with fedor

should this part be removed? there isnt really a source for it. at pride final conflict absolute during the match with sergei vs aleks, announcers trigg and maruo were talking about the fued and were saying how the media was making more of what it really was. the only feud i think that went on was between that russian top team manager Vladimir Evgenevich Pogodin and the emelianenko brothers. i dont think sergei had anything to do with it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.188.201.146 (talk) 03:03, 12 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
