Rollback (add request)

US Navy Sailor. No access to Firefox (IE only systems). However, I have access to .NET, so I could RVV with Huggle, if the community allows me to do so. I am a former Wikipedian (can verify upon request) and I am familiar with core vandalism policies. Allison Tragedy (talk) 02:52, 17 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Not done Not enough experience, at least on this account. Feel free to email me with your previous name(s) for reconsideration. Nakon 02:55, 17 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I do a anti-vandalism patrolling with Twinkle, as can be seen in my contribs. I would like to start using Huggle so that I can be more efficient. Thank you in advance Yopie (talk) 18:44, 16 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

He is de facto the rollbacker for Wikiproject Albania and he has been a wikipedian since 2005, but he still doesn't have the status. Please consider granting him rollbacker status Sulmues Let's talk 18:30, 16 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Question: Have you asked him if he'd like the right? HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 18:50, 16 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
That would be great. One more thing, what are the advantages over Twinkle, which I use without any special right? Cheers. kedadial 23:50, 16 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Done Excellent. Rollback is much faster- click it and it's pretty much instant reversion, whereas Twinkle takes noticeably longer. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 01:10, 17 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I've been on Recent Changes patrol for the past month, and I've reverted probably about five hundred vandal edits, maybe more. That's a good chunk of my contributions. I've been using Twinkle to revert the vandalism, and I feel I'm ready to try a new tool. The Utahraptor Talk 13:41, 16 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

As most of my edits here have been undoing vandalism I feel that I could benefit from the rollback feature to speed up the revert process. Thank you. Mr little irish(talk) 13:21, 16 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I do a lot of anti vandalism patrolling, using recent changes etc. I normally use Twinkle at home, but at work it doesn't work so would like to se Rollback as opposed to having to undo manually which can take eons... --TicketMan - Talk - contribs 09:58, 16 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I spend a lot of my time here reverting vandalism, and although I tend to use undo most of the time anyway, I'd like to request rollback rights to try out Huggle. Thank you, Grunny (talk) 06:22, 16 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I am requesting rollback rights because I often use Twinkle and other methods of reverting vandalism, but often times I find vandalism and cannot revert it because I have a very slow internet connection and Twinkle sometimes isn't practical with it. It's very frustrating. I have also made one or two reports to AIV and the UAA. I read that rollback is much faster and streamlined, so I thought that it might be much more practical with my slow connection when reverting vandalism and notifying users.  Not done. You have little to no recent experience fighting real vandalism here on Wikipedia. If you want the rollback tool, show us that you need it! Go to Special:RecentChanges and make 50 or so vandalism reverts, either with the undo function, or the userscript, Twinkle. One you have done that, come back and request the tool again. -FASTILY (TALK) 05:43, 16 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Ok! I'll do that. ~ QwerpQwertus ·_Contact Me_·Get Adopted! 05:44, 16 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
It'd help facilitate my contributions to Wikipedia -- as I'm already, using Twinkle, rolling back a lot of vandalism and "hurf durf durf"-style additions to articles. Thanks for considering my request. WCityMike 02:03, 16 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
(Just as a note, I clicked on the "add request" link to make this request, and that action put this request below the infobox; it wasn't the result of something manual I did. So I'm not sure what needs to be tweaked for that to be avoided in the future.) WCityMike 02:04, 16 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Done. the formatting is a bug that's been annoying me recently. I'll ask on the talk page. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 02:22, 16 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I spend quite alot of time reverting edits from sockpuppets of DPeterson who constantly add spam/vandalism advertising his particular form of therapy for children (see Attachment therapy arbitration). This affects up to about a dozen pages which I watch. I have only just learned what rollback is! I have a clean block log, 3 FA's and a handful of GA's. Have been working via Twinkle quite a bit to keep Wikipedia clean for a few years now, would appreciate rollback rights to continue the work without relying on Twinkle/getting a chance to try Huggle. JACooks (talk) 20:41, 15 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I work extensively on American soccer articles, and would find the rollback function very useful when having to make changes to undo persistent vandalism on the several hundred articles I watch JonBroxton (talk) 06:46, 15 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Huggle says I need rollback to use it. I am interested in semi automated and automated means of mass bettering wikipedia and would like to use Huggle. I'm thinking of coding my own tool and would like to try what's out there to see what else is needed. If these tools already have what's needed, I plan to use them for repeated tedious tasks since I have no life. :(

My slate isn't particularly clean as User:TreasuryTag tried to drag me down a few times but each time failed or was quickly reverted per explanation. A failed WP:USURP left me with split name, so some of my edits were moved to User:930913.
I have a tendency of avoiding edits on the namespace, usually bringing stuff up on the talk page instead; I hope this will lower me into the waters of editing namespace en mass. Thank you, 930913(Congratulate/Complaints) 13:08, 7 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Not done I had a look through your edits, deleted and live, and found little to no vandalism reversion. Since you're into scripts, there are a few, including Twinkle, that you can use without rollback and once you have a few good reverts, warnings to vandals and a few reports to WP:AIV, come back and ask for rollback again. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 13:16, 7 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Stupid unfounded accusations against me (there's a surprise...) – as far as I remember, the only conflict we ever had was when I nominated an article of yours for deletion and it was deleted. I'm sorry if this offended you. ╟─TreasuryTagduumvirate─╢ 16:15, 7 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I am a member of 10 Wikiprojects, including the WP:MOTD and the Counter-Vandalism Unit. I have made over 3,000 edits under a year, promoted two articles to GA status, made seven articles appear on the "Did you Know" section of the main page, and I am considered a "reviewer". Mostly since I'm in the CVU, I want to use this feature to help monitor vandalism and to test out some of its features Secret Saturdays (talk to me) 03:44, 17 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
