Viru Square
Appearance
Viru Square (Estonian: Viru väljak) is a square in Tallinn city centre. It is the meeting point of Pärnu maantee (Pärnu Highway), Narva maantee (Narva Highway), Mere puistee (Sea avenue), Viru street and Vana-Viru street (Old-Viru Street).
There is a roundabout on Viru Square. All the four tram lines of Tallinn go through the roundabout.

- 1939-1940 - Viru Square.
- 1940-1960 Stalin Square (During the German occupation (1941–1944) Wierländischer Platz).
- 1960-1970 Centre Square Estonian: Keskväljak.
