Drug use

For reference: "Why Davina never drinks", an article at Sky News about her drug use. violet/riga (t) 21:49, 10 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Best known for MTV?!

That's laughable, most people are unaware that Davina McCall even appeared on MTV. Apart from Big Brother, the general public associate her with prime-time light entertainment shows, not her stint on a satellite music station that few people watched in the early 1990s. 22:38, 5 May 2006 (UTC) 23:54, 19 May 2007 (UTC) No it isn't laughable that she is best known for MTV! For me as a person living outside of UK I spotted her as "that MTV presenter" when i saw her as a presenter of the Big Brother Show for the first time(thanks to torrent downloading). So for most people outside of UK I think she is most known as a presenter for MTV.

Davina is most known for presenting Big Brother in my opinion.12bigbrother12 18:33, 2 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Undoubtedly. Currently that is what she is well known for. If you say Davina McCall to someone, they'll think of Big Brother before MTV. Most people don't even know she was on MTV. AndrewJDTALK -- 19:46, 2 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Can Davina speak French?

Can she speak French at all? Yes.

Cypriot stud

Her children

It is possibly not a coincidence that her childrens' birth months are the same - she has said (on Big Brother's Little Brother) that the timing (at least of Chester, if not either of the others) was deliberately planned so that the birth would not interfere with Big Brother during the summer. (And "coincidentally" is spelt wrongly as well.) 213.61.246.50 11:49, 24 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Celebrity Big Brother

The article mentions Davina's interview of Makosi. What about the interview of Jo O'Meara on Celebrity Big Brother 2007, which was appauling? Jo was made out to be, amongst other things, a racist by the editors of the show. She later had a nervous breakdown and attempted suicide. The problems that happended on the show were not all Jo's fault but that's what Davina's interview suggested, that's why I don't like her.

Please rememebr to sign post with 4 tildes (~~~~). If you can find a source, in this case perhaps a news page, that talks about Davina's possible bias against her (or through her by producers), then feel free to cite it into the article or post it here for someone else. Use McCall rather than Davina

I've gone through and changed references to "Davina" to "McCall" - I think the former is too informal and surname is recommended here. Kevin Judson 21:51, 2 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Redirection

Should 'Davina' really redirect to here? Yes, Davina McCall is probably the most famous Davina, but the R+B singer by that name still exists. I'd change it if I knew how, but I don't, and so I can't. Makatota 12:24, 30 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Big Brother controversy - does anyone know McCall's opinion?

Big Brother, the show she is famous for, is extremely controversial. It has been accused of manipulating vulnerable and damaged individuals for profit and entertainment. I have never really seen McCall give her opinion on this alleged exploitation of vulnerable and damaged people, though much of the more serious media and press in the UK have made these allegations. Does anyone have any quotes or articles they could reference that would give her reaction to these accusations?

I say this because the woman appears to be utterly indifferent to the stress and anguish caused by the 'housemates' in the name of entertainment (and of course to her finanical benefit.) The 'housemates' don't get paid, and many of them end up persecuted and worse off that when they started.

I am just curious to see how she justifies this. I think, given the nature of the controversy of the show and her affiliation with it, some sort of mention of this controversy should appear in this article. Dpolwarth (talk) 09:09, 8 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Actress ??

I know she's appeared in a sitcom and a couple of minor things, but should the lead really state first that she's an English Actress - this is misleading surely. 86.148.127.89 (talk) 21:23, 20 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Your right, it is misleading. She's more of a TV presenter than a actress, i'll change it --Tukogbani (talk) 20:34, 10 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Stars In Their Eyes

Didn't she present three episodes of Stars In Their Eyes, as a short term replacement for Matthew Kelly before cat Deeley steeped in?--TimothyJacobson (talk) 14:06, 25 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Million Pound Drop
