Dundalk Cricket Club

Can I ask why you deleted my entry on Dundalk Cricket Club ? —Preceding unsigned comment added by EddieLu (talkcontribs) 19:08, 7 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

In Irish cricketing terms we are a very siginificant club, being the newest in Leinster and the only one in Co Louth as well as getting a mention in Wisden Cricketer only six months into our foundation and being semi-finalists in a cup competition. —Preceding unsigned comment added by EddieLu (talkcontribs) 19:11, 7 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi:)

Hi:) Just when you were deleting the article Pleazure Atlanta, I was opening an AfD. End result, Twinkle recreated the page (and the AfD) just the moment you deleted it. Could I request you to again delete the same page (and archive the related AfD with comments)? Thanks and warm regards. ♪ ♫ Wifione ♫ ♪ ―Œ ♣Łeave Ξ мessage♣ 17:54, 1 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Love Me (Beyoncé Album)

Curious, why delete this under A1? I'd just declined the A7 and A9 speedy tags, and by linking to the artist, the context of the article is very clear. Nyttend (talk) 02:54, 2 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • For one thing, the cited source doesn't give the title as "Love Me" - it's an interview with the producer, and essentially all he says is "yeah, we're working on an album." So it's really more of an a3, no substantive content. Once there's a source with any information at all (like a title, or a release date), it would make more sense to have an article. Hi, I think that you have removed my content (The Theory of Human Excellence) because you have categorised it as an advert or trying to sell services. I assure you this is not my goal.

I am not sure if the web site www.theoryofexcellence.org was up when you took your decisions as it went live just about the same time as this site was updated. If you refer to this site you will be able to see that this new theory is a new management application that can be applied to many different areas of business. It could be the next SWOT theory or personality profiling technique such as Carl Jung invented. I have been researching this for several years and have just formulated the exact working of the human brain, how it thinks, how it makes learns, how it basically operates. I believe this is fundamental ground breaking work. It could re-write the rule book on decision making, learning, change management, leadership, motivation, team building and many more areas.

I recognise that it is not referred to as yet in any journals or other magazines but I am just completing my validation of the theories within several companies and therefore have not circulated my work. I wanted to check it out in real life before I 'blew my trumpet'. I am ready to do so now and believed that one of the first places to do so was on Wikipedia. I also wanted to use the audit trail to protect the IP of the theory to make sure no body else took recognition for my work. Hence registering it on this site first to get it time and date stamped.

If you are unsure, please just give me a little time to extend the reference ability of my work with other sources. If it does not get recognised then remove it after I have had chance to circulate the theory.

I thank you for your consideration, Terry Wilcox —Preceding unsigned comment added by Wilcoxft (talkcontribs) 14:23, 3 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • I understand what you're trying to do, but that's not what Wikipedia is for. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, listing things that are already recognized as notable by reliable independent sources. Please see Wikipedia:No original research. In particular, please read Wikipedia:Wikipedia is not for things made up one day: "[Wikipedia] does not exist to promote new things and spread new knowledge. If you find yourself arguing that your Wikipedia article is necessary because no one else has written about your new invention yet, you have misunderstood the purpose of Wikipedia. Wikipedia is here for documenting things in which precisely the opposite has occurred." NawlinWiki (talk) 15:09, 3 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Punk is Dead (band)

Can you help explain why this was deleted. I believe it to be relevant due in large part to the various members in the band and the premise of the band. Did I fail to do incldue something? Robertocarlos13 (talk) 15:33, 3 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • There's nothing in the article to indicate that the band might meet the notability standards of WP:MUSIC. The bass player who was in a notable band isn't enough: per WP:MUSIC, a band is notable if it "contains two or more independently notable musicians, or is a musician who has been a member of two or more independently notable ensembles." NawlinWiki (talk) 15:49, 3 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

can you send me a copy of my page so I can work on it. Thank you. Robertocarlos13 (talk) 16:00, 3 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

About your recent blocks

NawlinWiki, can you please explain to me why you're blocking IP addresses from all over the place, many of them dynamic short term leases, for three months a piece? Some of those IP addresses do not even have edits. I'm finding this concerning. Risker (talk) 05:35, 4 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

24 hours, NawlinWiki, not 3 months. A lot of these IPs are dynamic and will be assigned to someone else tomorrow. Risker (talk) 05:45, 4 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

By request of oversight we don't do this anymore, because filter logs are not deletable. I reverted the change. Hope you understand, Shirik (Questions or Comments?) 05:42, 4 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Marty And Doug's New Religion

I am curious as to why you deleted 'Marty and Doug's New Religion'? The article is about something that is significant. We have sources that include the Internet Movie Database as well as Tubefilter.tv. These are both significant independent sources that have articles written about them in wikipedia. There were other sources to other third party websites about the subject as well. What up with that? TomMcComeryi (talk) 11:00, 4 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You claim that IMDB is not a source that meets wikipedia's standards, however you have used it in articles that you have written. Can you please explain this justification to me? How come you may use it for your articles but I may not? —Preceding unsigned comment added by TomMcComery (talkcontribs) 22:14, 4 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
