False positive report from JohnCD (Diff:379603862)

Newbie user submitted a page, which was tagged A7; newbie then blanked it, and Dashbot reverted and issued a warning. This is WP:BITEy and very confusing for a newbie; Dashbot needs to be able to distinguish "page blanked by author" and either leave it alone or tag with {{db-g7}}. (Made worse here because two human editors then did the same thing. Now to apologise to the newbie and educate the other two... ) JohnCD (talk) 17:08, 18 August 2010 (UTC)

Done, I saw that just five minutes before you did (in fact I think it happened twice). I'll leave an apology as well. Thanks for not getting angry :). Tim1357 talk 18:36, 18 August 2010 (UTC)

False positive report from BelindaEdgeworth (Diff:379643271)

I'm sorry, I'm new to this and didn't know about "the sandbox"; the frequency of small changes and edits subsequent to proofreading is I assume what attracted the notice of the bot and prompted the reversal of changes which, while not very substantial, were certainly not vandalism.

Very sorry. I replied on BE's talk page. Tim1357 talk 21:15, 18 August 2010 (UTC)

False positive report from 108.5.66.83 (Diff:379819169)

false positive on the bot... the quote by greg proops is misrepresented and erroneous, and the bot won't allow correction of this.

False positive report from JohnCD (Diff:379913591)

This is a more difficult one, but once again a user was trying (less politely this time) to remove his own autobiographical page, and was enraged by being reverted and accused of vandalism both by Dashbot and by humans. JohnCD (talk) 10:26, 20 August 2010 (UTC)

Hmm. That seems to be deleted. I cant really fix it without being able to see it, so maybe you can email the diff to me here. Thanks, Tim1357 talk 13:44, 21 August 2010 (UTC)

False positive report from 99.27.235.78 (Diff:379886382)

There are at least 2 of the games that I personally own that I edited the page about. I couldn't pst a link to it because you removed the page about the game. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Illusion_%28company%29 however proves that there is a company that exists that has both the games I own and the other one that I intend to obtain in the future. I would appreciate if you would not remove my post while trying to help other people know more about the games from certain developers.

False positive report from 76.109.242.141 (Diff:380093034)

Profanity is not vandalism, every page you have on this site is pure opinion by users with no true fact verification. What some may find to be true others may consider fake. The fact that you veto what you feel is accurate and fraudulent is asinine. Your site is founded on freedom of speech but you show no consideration for such fact. If people consider my post to be free speech they will change it accordingly that is the beauty of wikipedia. Automatically remove said comments does not allow freedom of expression and only allows what you believe is accurate. I am very disappointed in what censure has been placed on this site

Sorry, but this is defiantly not a false positive. Take a look at the intro to wikipedia. Tim1357 talk 13:37, 21 August 2010 (UTC)r

False positive report from 79.138.187.64 (Diff:380030018)

While I can guess, it is unclear why my slight change to the article about Vanessa Paradis was not considered constructive.

On the contrary, any cached version of that page could be retrived in the future and give the wrong impression that it is generally not considered controversial for a non-married couple to have children out of wedlock in our time. By labelling their children as "illegitimate" or "bastard", it will convey the sense that not everyone in our time approved of such arrangements without necessarily suggesting that *all* people disapprove. Someone who does not find anything wrong with having illegitimate children would not object to the label "illegitimate". It think it is important to convey that in our time that we did not all excuse our celebrity entertainers for actions that would have common laypeople labelled.

False positive report from 69.234.107.29 (Diff:381021682)

False positive report from 24.8.14.9 (Diff:381567087)

I disagree with DashBot's revision back to the original page on my revisions to "The Big Lebowski". I believe the article to be mostly sound, but there are several places where I feel it is sloppily written and leaves out certain major plot points as to make the synopsis somewhat incomprehensible. Please consider keeping my revisions in. Thank you.

False positive report from Hyperhippy92 (Diff:381915107)

I was simply explaining how the closed captioning was in fact, uncensored, on a reference of a certain episode of Family Guy in the Robot Chicken page, and also, given the massive quantities of the phrase, "F--k you!" in that page, I thought another use of it wouldn't hurt... but this is why Wikipedia should be censored with partial reverts instead of full reverts, AND NOT FULL REVERTS! Also, if saying "F--k" is so wrong, I say that the whole reference section be deleted, and not by revert either, someone needs to take the time, and delete the entire reference section the old way, by editing the page, highlighting the section, and pressing the backspace or delete key like a normal person, and not automatically revert a page to it's previous state like a robot. If I can't say "F--k" on a page full of "F--k"'s, then no one can say "F--k", period, even if it's a page on the history of the word "F--k".
