Ralphie O. May (born February 17, 1972) is an American stand-up comedian.

Career

Since his debut on season one of "Last Comic Standing" May has been a audience favorite. Ralphie has a proven track record of selling out multiple shows in 1,500 to 3,000 seat venues.[citation needed] He has a no-nonsense point of view and the ability to connect with a diverse audience by pointing out society’s hypocrisies. Ralphie doesn’t shy away from touchy topics or ethnic jokes, nor does he bite his tongue when society suggests, because he sincerely believes that as long as what he’s saying is true, people need to hear it. May came in second on the first season of “Last Comic Standing,” got a standing ovation on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” and has had a few of his own Comedy Central specials, each of which were highly rated.[citation needed]

May has a unique style in which he does his acts. May is not afraid to touch on subjects that many people are uncomfortable joking about. He will joke about race, terrorism, midgets/little people, retards/mentally-challenged people, "politically correct" language, the Pope, and Jesus. He also uses jokes based on everyday life that anyone can relate to. He also frequently makes fun of his weight, and how white trash he is.

May is a veteran of black clubs, and is one of the few white comics who will use the word "nigger" in front of a black audience.[citation needed]

May also has a comedy album, "Just Correct" released in 2005.
