Miyapur (Telugu: మియాపూర్) is a fast developing suburb of Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India. It is now part of GHMC, surrounded by Madhapur, Kukatpally, Bachupally and BHEL suburbs.

It is mainly a residential area for people working in IT companies at Madhapur and Gachibowli and the industrial estate at IDA Bollarum near Mallampet/Bowrampet).

It is well connected by road (NH9 - The Hyderabad to Pune Highway List of National Highways in India (by Highway Number), List of National Highways in India, Indian Highways) and rail (MMTS Trains - Hafeezpet).

Miyapur in Hyderabad is part of GHMC (Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation). Miyapur is located on NH9 ( National Highway 9 ) connecting Vijayawada and Mumbai and between Kukatpally and BHEL. Hafeezpet MMTS station is the nearest railway station to Miyapur and MMTS trains connect Miyapur to Secunderabad, Nampally and Falaknuma from Hafeezpet MMTS station. APSRTC ( Andhra Pradesh state road transport corporation ) runs buses from Miyapur to other places in hyd like Dilsukhnagar, Patancheru, Koti, Ameerpet, BHEL, Chandanagar, Ameerpet, Begumpet, Secunderabad, Himayathnagar, Chilkur Balaji temple, Nampally, Vanasthalipuram, Uppal, Mehdipatnam, Rajendranagar. HMR ( Hyderabad Metro Rail) project is planned from Miyapur to Dilsukhnagar.

Miyapur is connected to Rajiv Gandhi international airport at Shamshabad through Nehru Expressway - Nehru ORR ( Outer ring road) and the distance between Miyapur and airport at Shamshabad is 30 km.

Chandanagar, Kondapur, Hitech-city, Madhapur, Bolaram, Bolaram Ameenpur, Bachupally, Mallampet, Hafeezpet, Hydernagar and Nizampet are the neighboring places to Miyapur.

Miyapur is in the border area of Ranga-Reddy district and Medak district is on the neighboring district bordering Miyapur.

Close proximity to Bolaram industrial area , Patancheru industrial area and Hitech city, Madhapur and Gachibowli, Miyapur has developed into a major residential and commercial area over a decade in Hyderabad.

And the distance between the Miyapur and Secunderabad is around 20 km.

Commercial area

There are many shops and malls catering to all the needs of the people. This place has some good movie theaters(like Talkie town and Sai Ranga) and restaurants.

There is a big furniture shop at the cross roads called as Tresor (earlier it was named Khazana).

MMTS

Miyapur's closest MMTS train station is at Hafeezpet. Miyapur is one of Hyderabad's most crowded places with high population density.

The state-owned APSRTC runs the city bus service, connecting to all the major parts of the city. Recently APSRTC started a second bus depot at Miyapur, getting it a rare distinction of having a 2nd depot after Hyderabad and Secunderabad.

Miyapur has seen many developments in the last five years. The demand for property in Miyapur has increased over the last few years as the connectivity to IT Hubs has improved.

Proposed Major Projects

1.) Metro Rail terminal in 200 acres (0.81 km2) with Commercial & IT Hub.

2.) 55 Acres Interstate Bus terminal with PPP model includes commercial, Hospitals. All bus services are proposed to terminate here.

Further contributing to this is the connectivity via the Link Roads connecting Miyapur to Medchal / Shamirpet on one side and towards Shamshabad Airport and the Bangalore highway on the other.
