I'm younger than you think, so please be patient!! I tend to ask a lot of questions. I'm also fairly new to Wikipedia--I started on May 13, 2010. My name is NOT Glimmer, nor is this a reference to a very minor character in The Hunger Games. It's just a something I'm working on...and probably SHOULD be editing right now, rather than Wikipedia. I've been editing mostly the Hunger Games trilogy and related subjects, as well as Lemony Snicket, The 39 Clues, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Harry Potter, and The Lord of the Rings (if I can). I'll usually find the articles to other minor books I read and try to improve them. This is because I'm a total bookworm. Feel free to recomend!! Everything I do on Wikipedia is manual. I do not use Huggle, Twinkle, or anything else because they don't work on Internet Explorer 8, which is what I use. However, I do have Rollback rights and use that to help revert vandalism. I'm hoping someone will help me! The Battle of the Labyrinth C C GA The task force seems quiet lately. The things vandals come up with... This is quite entertaining. [1] Yes, it's a nice tree, but that's what the picture is for. Random or what? Sure... Other stuff Favorite Books I love to read!! Classics Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass by Lewis Carroll- I enjoy twisted logic. Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery- I believe "Anne" should always be spelled with an E. Modern Classics The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien (not quite as recent as the others, but not quite as old as the ones above, so I'll put it here) Okay, everyone, who doesn't feel sorry for Sam? I can't read the ending of the third book without crying. Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling- Hermione is my fictional twin with a few exaggerations. His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman- Not my favorite, but still worthy. Newer Favorites Percy Jackson and the Olympians by Rick Riordan- I really enjoyed the twist on Greek mythology. The Hunger Games trilogy by Suzanne Collins- It wasn't quite as great as I thought, but it was addicting. (They basically go in order of greatness: The Hunger Games, great. Catching Fire, not so much. Mockingjay, disapointing. Maybe I'll change my mind after I read them again.) A Series of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket- Not up to top-quality, but I found it very funny and interesting. Movies and Music Movies Some of my favorite movies include... The Sound of Music-been watching it over and over since the age of five. I love Julie Andrews. The Wizard of Oz-classic. I never really got into the book, though. The Lord of the Rings film trilogy-fine. I guess. Okay, it was kind of overdramatic (half the people they think die don't, anyway!). Besides, us fans of the book like to complain about Arwen, the portrayal of the Eye, Faramir, and some other things. But, overall, really good acting, costumes, and special effects!! Back to the Future trilogy- I love all the clever things that show up repeatedly in the four time periods. Do you think 2015 will be like that? Will the Chicago Cubs finally wind the World Series?? Harry Potter film series- Same as LotR: read the books, complain about the movies. Listen, Hermione should look just like she does in first movie and act that way, too. Don't even get me started on the plot. Music I love Steely Dan!! There's so unique and their songs are catchy and inventive. I also like The Beatles, Simon and Garfunkel, Billy Joel and various music from soundtracks, both songs and scores. I listen to anywhere from the 50s to the 80s.
