Article inaccuracies
Some points in the article are incorrect.
JJ Lehto did not 'have a poor start', in fact he was slow away from the grid on the parade lap, and ended up starting from the back of the grid. The article implies he had a poor start on the race start, which is not the case.
'Hill was now up to sixth place with the elimination of Brundle and Senna.' implies that before Brundle and Senna collided, Hill was behind them, when in fact Hill overtook Brundle on lap 5, and the collision made no impact whatsoever on his race position. He was in fact already up in 4th position, not 6th, when the collision happened between positions 7 and 8.
'Hill was now up to sixth place with the elimination of Brundle and Senna. Hill further benefited from the bad luck of others as he was up to fifth on lap 15 when Herbert spun-off and found himself in fourth position one lap later when the suspension on Berger's Ferrari failed.' - This is completely incorrect. Hill was already ahead of all of these incidents in 3rd and did not benefit from any of them. Patrese and Wendlinger were behind Herbert when he went off, and Berger had already pitted the lap before he went out, and so was down in 8th when he pulled into the pit to retire.
'Hill caught and passed Alesi on lap 18' : Was in fact lap 10
My only source however is an archive video of the BBC commentary, and I have no written source to confirm any of this.
