This article gives a list of OpenID providers.

Password-based providers

  • YooPassport OpenID: Your World Wide OpenID - username.yoo.cx

  • Clickpass: (http://clickpass.com/public/username) OpenID provider that makes OpenID easier for developers to install and users to understand
  • Daum OpenID: Korean OpenID provider by Daum.net
  • Flickr: (http://flickr.com/photos/username)
  • FUPEI
  • GetOpenID (http://getopenid.com/username)
  • Google: (http://google.com/accounts/o8/id or http://google.com/profiles/username if user's Google Profile has been enabled) a user's Google Account can be used as an OpenID[2]
  • Hyves (http://hyves.nl or http://username.hyves.nl)
  • i-name providers, accredited by XDI.org all provide OpenID service for global (paid) or community (free) i-names.
  • ICY OpenID: South African OpenID Provider
  • Identity.net: OpenID issuer that integrates attribute verification and portable reputation
  • IDtail: OpenID Provider by AhnLab (Korean)
  • isOpenID: Russian OpenID provider
  • Launchpad: (http://login.launchpad.net) Free open source project hosting.[3]
  • LiquidID (http://username.liquidid.net) OpenID with email aliasing that delivers less spam & safer logins.
  • LiveJournal (http://username.livejournal.com)
  • LuxSci: OpenID and Secure Email Provider
  • MeinGuter.Name – OpenID provider with SSL secured connection (in German)
  • Microsoft (http://www.passport.net/)[4][5]
  • myID.net: Korean OpenID provider by Openmaru Studios
  • MyOpenID: (http://myopenid.com or http://username.myopenid.com) First standalone OpenID provider, Authored OSS libraries, Full Platform solutions.

  • myVidoop.com (http://myvidoop.com)
  • my.xlogon.net – OpenID provider with multiple identities, multiple persons, only SSL secured connections and anti phishing support (in German)
  • Netlog (http://netlog.com/username)
  • OpenID France First french free OpenID provider hosted by the association
  • Openminds: first Belgian OpenID Server
  • Seznam.cz: Czech well known portal. Simply replace @ by .id. in your e-mail registered on Seznam and you will receive your OpenID.

  • Tonido OpenID : Decentralized and private OpenID provider that doesn't depend on any third party server to manage identity [7].
  • Virgilio.it: a user's Virgilio account can be used as an OpenID.
  • Weblogs SL :: OpenID: OpenID Provider by Weblogs SL (in Spanish).
  • Wirtualna Polska: biggest polish OpenID Provider
  • WordPress.com (in most cases http://username.wordpress.com) Each blogaddress is an OpenID
  • Yahoo!: (http://yahoo.com or http://me.yahoo.com/username) a user's Yahoo! account can be used as an OpenID, however it does not accept the credentials of third-party websites to work with their own services[8] redirects to Yahoo's OpenID login.
  • Yandex: Leading Russian search engine
  • yiid.com - your internet ID (http://yiid.com or http://username.yiid.com) openID provider and client, provides configuration options of the own online identities
  • YooPassport OpenID: Your World Wide OpenID - username.yoopassport.co.uk

Strong authentication providers

  • certifi.ca: (http://certifi.ca/username) Uses SSL client certificates to authenticate users. Support for CAcert.org certificates among others.
  • clavid.ch: (http://username.clavid.com) Independent Swiss OpenID-Provider supporting several authentication types such as Swiss Post Certificate, AXSionics InternetPassport, YubiKey, Username/Password or One-Time-Passwords.
  • iden.tt: Strong Identity for OpenID and CardSpace with fully portable multi-factor authentication.
  • MyOpenID: (http://myopenid.com or http://username.myopenid.com) Uses SSL certificates, InfoCards or CallVerifID.
  • OneLogin: (http://app.onelogin.com/openid/username) Cloud-based provider of single sign-on and identity management
  • OpenID in Estonia: Uses Estonian eID smart cards and GSM SIM cards to authenticate users.
  • OpenID in Lithuania: Uses Lithuanian eID smart cards to autheticate users.
  • PIP by VeriSign Labs: (http://pip.verisignlabs.com or http://username.pip.verisignlabs.com) Uses security tokens, InfoCards or combined password + SSL certificate/one-time PIN authentication (e.g. username.pip.verisignlabs.com)
  • Plooh - Openid - Secure Login: Uses Terminal Key, Identity Image and Password to authenticate users.
