Reyhan (Arabic: ريحان, Hebrew: ריחן, meaning aromatic plants and basil), may refer to:

Given name

Plant

  • Artemisia, a herb from the Artemisia
  • Holy Basil in Arabic speaking countries outside North Africa, also known as raihan, reihan, rehan, or by various other spellings. The leaves are used as a culinary herb, raw or cooked; the seeds are also used as a thickening agent.
  • Basil in Arabic speaking countries outside North Africa, an aromatic plant used in cooking, medicine, and other areas
  • Common Myrtle in Arabic speaking countries of Northern Africa. In Spain this herb is known as Arrayán (originated from Arabic Reyhan), which itself is the name for Chilean Myrtle in Chile and Argentina, and the name for Qualea ingens in Colombia.

The name Reyhan is used in the Qur'an in Sura Ar-Rahman (the "scented herb" in Ayah no 12) and Sura Al-Waqiah (Ayah no 89). It may also be spelled as Rayhan, Rayhaan, Raihan, Raihaan, Rehan, or Rihan.
