Wikipedia:Files for upload

Welcome to Files for Upload, part of WikiProject Articles for creation. This process was created to allow unregistered users to add new files to Wikipedia with the assistance of experienced Wikipedians. If you would like to upload an image yourself, you can create an account and after four days and 10 edits you will be autoconfirmed and able to upload files. However, please consider uploading free files over at the Wikimedia Commons (instructions for creating an account there can be found here).

Reviewing requests

If you are an experienced editor, then you can help out by reviewing requests. Make sure you're familiar with Wikipedia's policies on non-free content (or simplified version). Learn about Wikipedia's various copyright tags. Read the guide on how to review file upload requests. Note that this page's editnotice contains an expandable cheat sheet with all the templates used in reviewing requests. After uploading the file tag its talk page with {{subst:WPAFCF}}. Remember to subst all templates. Notify the requester at their talk page using {{subst:ffu talk}} ~~~~ whenever you act on their request. You are responsible for anything you upload, so make sure you are comfortable that the file satisfies Wikipedia's policies first. If the file is non-free, then you must insert the file in the appropriate article right away in order to comply with the non-free content criteria.

Tokyo-based photographer would like to contribute some images from Japan

Description: I'm a Tokyo-based documentary photographer. I'm am the copyright holder of my photos, so I would like to give Wikipedia usage rights for some photos related to the Japanese quake, and places like Nobiru and Ishinomaki damaged by the tsunami

URL: http://maxhodges.com galleries Nobiru and Ishinomaki. i have archives with nearly 40,000 photos from Japan. Today I was trying to upload photos of NOBIRU STATION to the Nobiru Station page, but I don't see how to do it.

According to this every content of the website are copyrighted. If you're relly Max Hodges, then you should add to you website, which images you want to release under Wikipedia-compatible licenses, which are: {{cc-by}}, {{cc-by-sa}}, {{cc-by-2.0}}, {{cc-by-sa-2.0}}, {{cc-by-3.0}}, {{cc-by-sa-3.0}} or {{public domain}}. Blocked behind the Great Firewall of China

I have 46 maps images of Canadian lakes I am trying to upload. I got through the first few  and then the firewall kicked in. Now I can't download anything at all.

Half are around 400 kb each, and the other half around 1 MB each.

Can someone please help? I can send them via IRC, torrent, etc. 

The stubs have been made, and are ready and waiting for these images.

• The image, as a logo, would be uploaded as a fair use image. Fair use images must be used in at least one article (pages that do not have a prefix), and cannot be used in the user space (pages that start with "user:"). When your article moves into the article space, please come back and ask for this again, in the mean time, I have to decline this. I'll put it on hold for 48 hours in case you're ready to move it to the namespace now, however if you're not, then this will have to wait. This isn't a "no" this is a "not yet".
