Orchlon school

Orchlon school is considered one of Mongolia's best schools and is known for its international Cambridge Checkpoint and IGCSE programs. Owned by MCS, a company of electronics in Mongolia, the school has everything including a gym, swimming pool and also an outdoor basketball court.
Establishment and early years
The school was established in 2001 with D. Batmunkh as the principal and has won many awards such as best school in Ulaanbaatar and also the best school in the district. The school includes a kindergarten, primary school, secondary school and high school. In the early years the school did not have a gym, and physical education was done outside only in fall and spring, but an extension of the school, which is the gym, was built in November 2004. It included a swimming pool, a basketball court and a gym to work out ( children under 14 years of age aren't allowed). There was no school uniform at the time and children were allowed to wear casual clothing. The school uniform is now compulsory.
Later years
In the summer of 2007 the school extended their main building. A kind of bridge connecting the two buildings, called the A building and B building, was also built. A part of the B building or the extension is the kindergarten. Also on 4 October 2009 the school started an annual field trip to "Three Lakes" camp. The trip teaches the logic of how to live and can also be fun. The school is now thinking of adding skiing and snowboarding lessons in winter.
Building
The whole school is made up of three buildings, all of them being built at different times, two of them being extensions. Blue and Silver are the main colors of the school and you can see the school name written red in Cyrillic writing. The logo of the school can also be seen in blue on the school building.
Field trips
In September the school holds an annual sports competition. Basketball is the most popular sport. October includes a trip to three lakes mentioned above. In November the school holds an talent competition (singing, acting, dancing, etc.). In December the school holds a Christmas party and a concert. No special activities are held during spring.
