- Okay, this is going to be long-winded, but here it goes. A few days ago, I created an article. I wanted to see if it had already been patrolled, so I checked the New Page log for my username. It wasn't showing up, and I figured it was because I created it in user space months ago. So, I checked the log for my username under all namespaces. Apparently, I tend to create a considerable amount of new pages across non-article namespaces, most of which are currently marked as unpatrolled. If there's a bot that checks such pages, that's fine with me, but I'd hate for actual people to spend time reviewing my latest portal subpages. Do I create the kind of content where being autopatrolled would be helpful? Gyrobo (talk) 01:52, 22 April 2011 (UTC)
- Autopatrol effects the mainspace only (ns 0), so no, this right wouldn't be helpful to people reviewing your pages since they aren't the ones being reviewed. Ajraddatz (Talk) 03:11, 22 April 2011 (UTC)
- Okay then, it's not something I'll ever need because I never create pages directly in article space. This request can be archived/deleted. --Gyrobo (talk) 03:31, 22 April 2011 (UTC)
- Not done — template for archival purposes. Feezo (send a signal | watch the sky) 04:08, 22 April 2011 (UTC)

- I create BLPs on contemporary military figures and battles. I'm planning on starting to increase the ratio of my time dedicated to editing WP doing these things. I've edited for years, understand BLP and always utilize incline citation in my articles. I haven't yet had a new article challenged. TomPointTwo (talk) 23:48, 22 April 2011 (UTC)

- Right. I know it's not a huge stack of new articles on this account (I have another from years ago, the use of which I've discontinued for privacy reasons) but I figure it does more good to request it before, rather than after I create the articles I have in the pipe. TomPointTwo (talk) 15:57, 25 April 2011 (UTC)
- Note As an indication of my work and that I can be trusted not to create inappropriate articles here are two I've created since requesting autopartoled status, Michael Canavan and Richard Scholtes. I'd ask that an administrator respond to this request, even if to deny it. I'd like to de-watchlist this page and move on. TomPointTwo (talk) 16:36, 26 April 2011 (UTC)

- Autopatrolled privilege would aid my process of article creation of authors from information I collect while proofreading in Wikisource, where I currently do most of my work. This would involve a process of 24-36 hours at most for properly format and complete an article. Information I collect should be part of a Wikipedia page, rather than Wikisource, where we only keep minimal author info with a list of their publications and for more detail, we provide a direct link to Wikipedia. :P.S: I forgot to mention that occasionally I would be workin on several pages simultaneously and that is the main reason for my request.Ineuw talk page on English Wikisource 03:53, 23 April 2011 (UTC)

While here on Wikipedia I only created 8 articles in the past two years, I am a member of good standing for the past 8 years and have done thousands of edits and corrections. Also, my seven articles are painstaking translations from foreign languages — Hungarian and French, — which is a lot more difficult process than creating dozens of basic article pages devoid of any meaningful information — essentially page titles. Furthermore, I am a prolific contributor to both Wikisource where I contribute thousands of new pages, and on Wikimedia Commons, where so far this year I contributed some ~5,000 images. My request for autopatrolled status is directly related to my Wikisource work, as explained above, and if this doesn't qualify me, then I respectfully withdraw my request. - Not done Thank you for your good work on translations. I do a lot of translating myself and cannot therefore see how autopatrolled rights would enhance your work. Do consider reapplying when you have created around 50 articles. --Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 17:11, 26 April 2011 (UTC)

- Not done Unfortunately autopatroller is not an award for good editing. It is designed for prolific article creators in order to reduce the load for New Page Patrollers. Please request again when you have created around 50 articles. --Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 17:05, 26 April 2011 (UTC)

- Hello.I am Damirgraffiti.I am here to request the autopatrol rights because last night,I created my first article and on the end page I saw the button called "Mark This Page as patrolled".I wanted to patroll it myself.I think this tool is perfect for me. - Not done. Autopatrolled is only granted to prolific article creators — a suggested standard is the prior creation of 50 valid articles —, because its only purpose is to lessen the load on new page patrollers; to have this userright would change nothing for you. Salvio Let's talk about it! 20:02, 23 April 2011 (UTC)
- I understand.I just need to create 49 more article and I"ll coming back here.Thanks.--Damirgraffiti ☺Say Yo to Me!☺ 20:09, 23 April 2011 (UTC)
- As far as I'm concerned, in the end, it's not a matter of numbers; even 30 would be enough, for me, if they showed that you have a track record of writing good articles that don't need patrolling; it's just that this is a bit premature, since you only created one so far... - I'm not the most prolific article writer (especially now with impending finals) but having done some NPPing myself, I don't think the articles I create should add to this work effort. For example, the page I created tonight, I'm sure it doesn't take too long to scan the page and hit 'mark as patrolled' but it's still adding to an ever-present workload unnecessarily. Of the 30+ articles I've made none have been PRODed, speedied or tagged with any serious issues Jebus989✰ 21:55, 23 April 2011 (UTC)

- Long-time user and regular contributor of well-referenced articles. The AFDs and PRODs on his talkpage seem to mostly for early creations and articles to which he only contributed. - Not done Too many recent issues with PROD and non-free image uploads. The effort should be to prepare your stubs with adequate references and image FUR before posting them to mainspace. Please also begin to correctly format the naked URLs in the references. For the moment New Page Patrolling is still required. Please reapply when you have addressed these issues. --Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 17:29, 26 April 2011 (UTC)
