Chaos (disambiguation) → Chaos – The "article" currently at Chaos is not an article at all, but a confused disambiguation page. It provides the following and nothing more: a definition of the term; a summary of Chaos (cosmogony), and a summary of Chaos theory. One of our most fundamental precepts here is that our articles are on single concepts. This "article" is trying to be about the word, and about two different concepts, all at the same time. That's contrary to convention, common sense, and our readers' expectations. Powers T 02:29, 4 May 2011 (UTC)
- Questions. So are you saying that the content currently at Chaos be simply deleted? Much as I agree with you that the article is a mess, can an article with that much content be deleted through the RM process? Jenks24 (talk) 12:17, 4 May 2011 (UTC)
- I can't use AfD, either, because I'm not proposing the page be deleted but replaced. Do you have any other suggestions? (Anyway, the content there is entirely disposable; the lead is a definition, and the rest is merely summary of content that already exists elsewhere. There's no unique content that ties the two concepts together.) Powers T 17:30, 4 May 2011 (UTC)
- Hmmm yes, I see what you're saying and agree that it would be no loss if the content of chaos was disposed of. Personally I support your idea, as I can't think of a more appropriate venue for this discussion and your idea would be a good one wherever it's proposed. Jenks24 (talk) 18:49, 4 May 2011 (UTC)

- Comment. Isn't it somehow fitting that Chaos should be "a confused disambiguation page"? Sounds like chaos in action, to me.... Dohn joe (talk) 17:12, 5 May 2011 (UTC)
- In the alternative, perhaps "Chaos" should redirect here? Dohn joe (talk) 20:03, 5 May 2011 (UTC)

- If move, first move Chaos to Chaos/version 2 or similar, and then delete it? It is not a good idea for a page to be sitting over a deleted WP:Parallel history. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 05:47, 9 May 2011 (UTC)

Where did this article go?
I see that, without a deletion discussion, this article has vanished. Even the history has gone, although clones of the article still exist on the web at e.g. http://chaos.co.tv/
I thought there was an official process for deleting Wikipedia articles, especially useful ones like this? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.124.75.122 (talk) 09:04, 13 May 2011 (UTC)
Requested move

Chaos → Chaos (disambiguation) – Since the original version of this article, over-ridden by the above move, is useful, and contains content not existing elsewhere, I suggest moving the current dab page back to Chaos (disambiguation) and move Chaos/old version back to here, pending either an AfD or a merge request to resolve the question of what to do with that content. 202.124.74.87 (talk) 12:45, 14 May 2011 (UTC)
