Defraggler, developed by Piriform, is a free donationware defragmentation utility, which notably allows users to defragment individual files on their computer system. Defraggler runs on Microsoft Windows; it has support for all versions since Windows 2000. It includes support for both IA-32 and x64 versions of these operating systems.[1]

Overview

Defraggler defragment individual files, groups of files (in a folder) or an entire disk partition, either by user's command or automatically on a schedule. It supports FAT32, NTFS and exFAT.[3] It can also be installed as portable application on a USB flash drive. Defragmenting RAID disks are also supported, although no details are supplied.[4]

The vendor's website gives conflicting information about the natural languages supported: In one place it asserts that Defraggler supports 37 languages[5] while in another, it only lists 21.[2]

Defraggler was given a 5/5 star rating from Softpedia.[6] In Lifehacker's Hive Five for Best Disk Defragmenter, Defraggler received first place.[7]
