Milo Ventimiglia
Milo Anthony Ventimiglia (born July 8, 1977) is an American actor.
An Orange County native, he is probably best known for his role as Jess Mariano in the television dramedy Gilmore Girls.
Milo Ventimiglia wanted to act since he was a young boy. However he didn't know where to start. One day his mom introduced him to an old friend who was a photographer, who took his picture. His mum showed it to an agent. At 18 years old, he started auditioning, booking jobs, and working his way up. He received a scholarship to attend the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco for their summer program. From there, Milo studied for a while at the University of California, Los Angeles and the San Francisco American Conservatory Theater. Milo left UCLA on his freshmen year to perform on Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,. Ventimiglia has also guest starred on series such as CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, and Boston Public.
From 2000 to 2003, Ventimiglia played broody teen Jess Mariano on Gilmore Girls. He signed on for a spin-off of Gilmore Girls, entitled Windward Circle, which would focus on the relationship between Jess and his estranged father, however it was cancelled due to the high cost of filming on location in Venice, California.
He is now working on a new series The Bedford Diaries airing on The WB, premiering in March 2006.
