Glen Hills Primary School is a Community 4+/10+ non-denominational, co-educational, primary school in Glen Parva on the South Western boundary of the City of Leicester, serving the surrounding area of mixed private and council developments. For their final junior year (Year Six), the children normally transfer onto South Wigston High School. For year 9 parents may send their children to Countesthorpe College, Guthlaxton College or another secondary school of their choice. The school is currently in consultation to recover its year 6[1] ,meaning that children would remain at Glen Hills for the whole of Key Stage 1 and 2.

Glen Hills has been assessed as Outstanding by Ofsted since 2008.[2]
Academy Status
Glen Hills Primary School was registered with Companies House on 8th February 2012[3] . The school is due to convert to academy status on 1st March 2012.
History
Until Autumn 2001 the school used to be on two sites with the Junior Department on Cork Lane and the Infant and 4+ Unit on Featherby Drive. A million pound Junior Department was completed on the Featherby Drive site. For the first time Glen Hills School is all on one site and in modern purpose built buildings.
