Erhabor Emokpae deletion.

Hello Jimfbleak,

You deleted a post I wrote about my Father Erhabor Emokpae. He is not a living person (he died in 1984) and the link to my website was as a reference to the write up. Can you please reverse the deletion or at least let me know what needs to be changed (and how). Thanks. Isaac Emokpae.Zikemo (talk) 23:56, 31 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi

(cc: DeadlyAssassin, CSD tagger)

I've noticed you deleted the page Focus DIY "to make room for an uncontroversial page move", yet nothing has been moved there? Is something intended to be moved there still? If not, would you mind undeleting/recreating the redirect?

TIA, [stwalkerster|talk] 21:24, 2 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Sammi Giancola

Hi! I have created the biography of MTV Jersey Shore star Sammi Giancola in good faith as all of her other current castmates have independent articles on Wikipedia except her. I do not understand the reason why you deleted this article as she is just as notable (if not more) than most of her fellow castmates. Please restore the page so I could continue to work on it. Thank you!--TheBigNatural (talk) 13:30, 3 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Amy Steedman

Thank you for replying. The absence of wikepedia references making it unlikely that the article will meet notability criteria feels like a self licking lollipop! There are no references (yet) because there are no references. Where are the notability criteria, please?

One, independent & non-commercial, reference to Amy and her books is http://www.mainlesson.com/displayauthor.php?author=steedman

Would that be sufficient? Mfkirke (talk) 18:21, 3 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

== Hello == Hello Jim, I am responding to the article for bio for "Cassidi Hoag" if you look in the Canadian Film Centre --short films "Parkdale" you will see Cassidi hoags' credit and also in The GreenGirls, also Casting Workbook and www.childstarlets.com I don't know what else to send to prove authenticity of her. Thank you so much for your time.... Rhonda

Question
Hey Jim,

I just saw that you deleted my page showing this reason "Unambiguous advertising or promotion: no evidence of notability"

What made you think so, or what else should I include to make this page stay on wiki? Abp280788 (talk) 06:39, 4 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the reply I understand the point. I thought imdb is a good reference. How foolish I am! So, I need sources that are not self-editable, right? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Abp280788 (talkcontribs) 07:34, 4 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

OK I Understand. May be I'll post it shortly with some revisions. Thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by Abp280788 (talkcontribs) 07:49, 4 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Felicia Mabuza-Suttle

Hi Jim, I hope you're getting a bit of sunshine today... :-) The heat is killing us here in South Africa - I'm starting to think there must be something to this global warming thing.

In any case, I came across this: Felicia Mabuza-Suttle and thought its a bunch of marketing nonsense with no references. She is noteworthy but this is not the way to do it. Please delete or do whatever... ...I'll have a go at her when I'm finsidhed with my other projects.

Then, I've revised the ATKV article: User:Bertus Esterhuysen/ATKV. I've also e-mailed the ATKV head office and asked for the membership and revenue info - hopefully they will oblige.

Another project I've been working on is User:Bertus Esterhuysen/Ernestine Ulmer article. I've been having trouble getting info on this lady - she is noteworthy as almost every cook on the planet is quoting her but she never published a book so there are no ISBN numbers. She wrote recipes for magazines in the late 1940's and early 1950's but how do I reference these if there is not a single recipe online?

Thanx for your troubles,

Bertus

Hi Jim...I am asking that you check: www.imdb.com and search cassidi hoag...You will find her acting credits there and then I would like you to re instate her on wikipedia.. thanks...rhonda28

Please restore Harvey Benge, which you incorrectly speedy deleted as "Unambiguous advertising or promotion". Nothing in the page, except for perhaps the section header "Praise", could have been construed as promotion. Goodvac (talk) 19:47, 9 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Main page appearance: Cattle Egret

This is a note to let the main editors of Cattle Egret know that the article will be appearing as today's featured article on February 14, 2012. You can view the TFA blurb at Wikipedia:Today's featured article/February 14, 2012. If you prefer that the article appear as TFA on a different date, or not at all, please ask featured article director Raul654 (talk · contribs) or his delegate Dabomb87 (talk · contribs), or start a discussion at Wikipedia talk:Today's featured article/requests. If the previous blurb needs tweaking, you might change it—following the instructions at Wikipedia:Today's featured article/requests/instructions. If this article needs any attention or maintenance, it would be preferable if that could be done before its appearance on the Main Page. The blurb as it stands now is below:

A cattle Egret at the Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha, Nebraska

The Cattle Egret is a cosmopolitan species of heron (family Ardeidae) found in the tropics, subtropics and warm temperate zones. Despite the similarities in plumage to the egrets of the genus Egretta, it is more closely related to the herons of Ardea. Originally native to parts of Asia, Africa and Europe, it has undergone a rapid expansion in its distribution and successfully colonised much of the rest of the world. It is a stocky white bird adorned with buff plumes in the breeding season which nests in colonies, usually near bodies of water and often with other wading birds. The nest is a platform of sticks in trees or shrubs. Unlike most other herons, it feeds in relatively dry grassy habitats, often accompanying cattle or other large mammals, since it catches insect and small vertebrate prey disturbed by these animals. Some populations of the Cattle Egret are migratory and others show post-breeding dispersal. The adult Cattle Egret has few predators, but birds or mammals may raid its nests, and chicks may be lost to starvation, calcium deficiency or disturbance from other large birds. This species removes ticks and flies from cattle, but it can be a safety hazard at airfields, and has been implicated in the spread of tick-borne animal diseases. (more...)
