VBus

  • I think the article on VBus should be undeleted as Vbus is the only bus simulator available to the general public. (there is also a trolleybus simulator SimTR, which has buses, but it isn't as good as Vbus.) Andrewjrvhunt 11:42, 1 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • I also think the article should be undeleted, same reasons as above. John Smith 212.117.127.91 12:13, 11 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Matt Leinart Vandal

As a heads up, I put in a checkuser request to affirm it's one user. Of course, do not comment my submission on its page. T K E 00:46, 3 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ethical will

Thanks for reviewing article "Ethical will". You left tag Wikisource with comment "if this is just a public domain text, should be on wikisource". This text is indeed "not just a public domain text". It addresses a substantial and interesting topic in an appropriate manner for Wikipedia (with the help of a few small changes).

As Google and Amazon will quickly tell you, ethical wills are the subject of several recent magazine articles and books. In the current Encyclopedia Britannica, the term "ethical will" can be found in the entries "Judah ben Saul ibn Tibbon" and "Judaism" (section "The formulation of Jewish ethical doctrines"). The Jewish Encyclopedia uses the term "ethical will" in more than 20 entries, particularly in section "Ethical Literature of the Rabbis" of article "Ethics".

There was a comprehensive treatment of ethical wills by a Cambridge University professor (Israel Abrahams), published 1926 by the Jewish Publication Society of America, and republished in 1976. In Abrahams's position at Cambridge he was successor to Solomon Schechter, the main investigator of the Cairo Geniza. Regards —Hoziron 13:21, 5 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Johnny Unitas

Good morning. Just wanted to let you know that, although Johnny Unitas wore #19 during his professional career, he wore #16 while at the University of Louiville. As such, #16, not #19, is the one retired by the University of Louisville.

Michael Bush, Louisville's star running back, currently wears #19.

Regards,

Jim —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Jimsimo (talkcontribs) .

Johnny Unitas

No, Johnny U is the only one retired. There are a series of retired jersies at U of L, but only one retired number (16). —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Jimsimo (talkcontribs) .

Brian Doyle revert

mine was edited out several times, this is equally as bad. As you can see from the revert, there is a confirmed source. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 209.139.87.6 (talkcontribs) .

It's a Guy Thing

Hi there. I wondered why you removed the {{catneeded}} from It's a Guy Thing, as you didn't categorise it? Was it because it's up for AfD? Cheers. —Whouk (talk) 14:41, 8 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, just wondered. I've voted for delete, so I'll leave it off :-) —Whouk (talk) 14:49, 8 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

John Kenneth Galbraith

Hiya, I thought I should explain why a second article was started on this topic. I did some work on the John Kenneth Galbraith article making the partial bibliography into a complete one. During the course of this I posted on the talk page to see if people thought that we should cover/include the articles that JK Galbrath has written, as there are hundreds of these I thought it made sense to start a separate article and no one had responded on the talk page. Sorry for any problem, I'd still like to cover the articles he has written - perhaps a thematic approach explaining major concepts and ideas of JK Galbraith with reference to the relevant books and articles? I don't have much time in the next few months so cannot be of much help in this. Sjeraj 23:26, 8 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Indeed

I was just clicking the edit tab on your talk page when you posted to mine :) Yes - I really didn't expect it to be finished so fast but we're apparently some sort of supermen :-] Good job - Gardar Rurak 05:17, 10 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Matt Leinart

Matt Leinart is one of the most overrated college football players going into the draft. the only reson he played well his whole college career is because of his help form the rest of te team. jay cutlere is a much better quartwrback. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 72.9.26.139 (talkcontribs) 12 April 2006 (UTC)

Sorry, I don't believe that meets Wikipedia's copyright license (the GFDL). Text can be editted freely here by anyone, so there would be omissions and alterations eventually. Also, as we strive for neutrality, I don't know that this would qualify as an Islamic activity - Wikipedia is (hopefully) secular. "Bob Babich"

There's really no need to humor the North Carolina vandal's requests (re: restoring his inane hoaxes such as "Reidsville Adventures"). -- Curps 22:06, 15 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't know he was a sockpuppet, but looking at the article I did realize that parts of the history (unrelated to vandalism) had been deleted, per the GFDL I think those needed to be properly undeleted. It might not be clear from looking at the article history now, but what had happened was someone had just pasted a copy of the deleted article to recreate it, the pre-vandal revisions needed to be properly restored. --W.marsh 22:14, 15 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I was referring to his talk page comments (your talk page and his) where he peremptorily demanded that his edits be restored and you seemed somewhat conciliatory. This is one of our most persistent vandals, he's been at it for at least a year now. -- Curps 22:18, 15 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Well like I say, I didn't know he was a vandal/sock until you told me. If I'd known that from the get-go I would have blocked him myself. --W.marsh 22:26, 15 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

sami ghazi article

Why did you delete my article? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cam228 (talkcontribs)

article deletion

Oh no, i'm not trying to write about myself. I want to write about the president of the Mask & Bauble Dramatic Society (the oldest continuously operating studen-run theater group in the US) at my university (the executive producer is equal to the president). Is this ok? Cam228cm
