is esatap actually a standard?
My searches find a lot of user help sites but nothing official. If it is a standard does anyone know what the official name for it is? Plugwash (talk) 12:51, 10 September 2010 (UTC)
Yeah... is anyone actually using this? Thanks. ---Ransom (--208.25.0.2 (talk) 21:45, 15 October 2010 (UTC))
Hello, great thing to extract the eSATAp-Part and put it onto an single article.

Do any of those links indicate that ESATAp is an actual device standard, as opposed to just two different ports jammed together? Kufat (talk) 22:47, 9 January 2011 (UTC)
- I see lots of package advertising products but no links to specifications. Plugwash (talk) 16:20, 20 February 2012 (UTC)
esatap in laptop
Somethning is wrong with implementation section. It says eSATAp cannot be fit into laptop. But why? Nothing prevents it, it will just supply 5V. It is also just usefull even without additional power, as it essentially combines usb and esata port, thus using less space, and also allows devices to draw power from eSATAp's USB connector instead of using additonal Y-cable to USB power. Additionally article explicitly shwows Laptop with eSATAp port. So it is contradiction. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.213.255.7 (talk) 13:48, 28 August 2011 (UTC)

"+12V issue"
What a wall of text... I have no knowledge on the subject, but someone should trim that out. It's really intimidating.
