Pro Evolution Soccer 2013 (abbreviated to PES 2013 and known officially as World Soccer: Winning Eleven 2013 in Asia) is a video game which is the twelfth edition in the Pro Evolution Soccer series developed and published by Konami. The game was officially announced by Konami on April 18, 2012.[2] An official teaser trailer of the game featuring Cristiano Ronaldo was unveiled on the April 24, 2012.

Unlike previous games in the series, the game will feature full control over shots. New animations to match the running motions, abilities and playing styles of players' real-life counterparts. The game will also focus on three key elements known as PES FullControl, Player ID, and ProActive AI. PES FullControl (PES FC) offers total freedom over ball control, subtle ways to receive the ball – from traps, gently lifting it past an attacker to run on to or a variety of other moves – while fully manual passing and, for the first time ever, manual shooting give the player control over exactly where the ball is placed. Player ID meanwhile places focus on the individual elements and movements that each player boasts so that the best players will be instantly recognisable with signature attributes. Finally, ProActive AI seeks to ensure that players respond and find space as befits those at the top of their game as the developer look to ‘eradicate any illogical elements to the way players move and run’ in PES 2013. Greater organisation as teams track back or pelt forward also promises to set a harder to beat defensive line while allowing for quicker counters as goalkeepers also benefit, seeking to clear their lines more effectively and making better decisions. Users will be able to connect to Facebook using the inbuilt myPES application. Improvements in the games audio effects and commentary are also intended.[3]
