Identity Thief is an upcoming Comedy film (previously titled ID Theft) directed by Seth Gordon slated to be released in theaters on February 8, 2013. It will star Jason Bateman alongside Melissa McCarthy, John Cho, Amanda Peet and Jon Favreau. The plot for the film is revealed to be about a man who gets his identity stolen by a woman.

Production
The film entered development in 2011 with Jason Bateman as the lead alongside Melissa McCarthy[1] . In January 2012, Seth Gordon had been announced as the director of the film and Scott Stuber was announced to produce the film through his Stuber Pictures Banner alongside Bateman and Peter Morgan for DumbDumb[2]. In March 2012 a release date of May 10, 2013 was announced[3]. In April 2012 John Cho, Clark Duke and Amanda Peet joined the cast[4]. In May 2012 Jon Favreau[5] and Morris Chestnut[6] also joined the cast. In August 2012 the release date changed from May 10, 2013 to February 8, 2013[7].
Filming
As of May 2012 filming has took place in Atlanta at the 191 Peachtree Building. They have also filmed in Midtown and at Perimeter Mall[8].
