Highgate is a suburb of Adelaide in the City of Unley.

History

European settlers arrived in the area in 1839. The original owner of the land, William Ferguson named the 248 acres (100 hectares) Rosefield after his wife Rosina Ferguson. In 1881, the area was subdivided and in 1967, the suburb was renamed Highgate.

Education

  • Highgate school is a 10 minute drive from the Adelaide CBD. It employs 65 staff. [3]
