The Essendon District Football League (EDFL) is an Australian rules football league based in the north-west suburbs of Melbourne, which was established in 1930.
The EDFL consists of 25 Senior Clubs, 10 clubs in Premier Division, 8 clubs in Division 1 and 7 clubs in Division 2. All 3 Division's have a Reserve side and an Under 18's side that align with the Senior matches.
The League has also established an EDFL Umpires Association, EDFL Trainers Association and EDFL Auskick.

The 2012 Premier Division Premiers were Greenvale (12.10.82) defeating Strathmore (11.14.80) on the 15th of September 2012 at Windy Hill. Greenvale's Rowan Nayna was awarded the best on ground medal.
