Forrester Research, in its "Maximising Innovation from ERP Service Providers; Insights from Nasscom 2010" report, noted that: "Companies like UST Global allow their employees to spend part of their time in a research lab, developing user cases for new technologies." [1] [2] [3]

Strong Offshore Challenger

HfS Research, an advisory analyst firm based in Cambridge, UK, "focused on helping enterprises make complex decisions with their business process and outsourcing strategies," released its Buyers Guide, taking a look at "The 2011 Offshore Challengers". Focusing on several fast-growing firms that continue to compete with and win major contracts from their larger competitors, the report takes a close look at UST Global's strengths and evaluates the company's prospects for the future.

After citing several attributes that distinguish UST in the marketplace, HfS awards the company's current and future prospects in Europe & the UK the highest recommendation in the report: "Strong". Among UST Global's distinguishing factors cited in the report are the company's focus on "fewer CLIENTS, more ATTENTION" and its management depth under the leadership of CEO Sajan Pillai. [4] [5]

Mexico Outsourcing

UST Global recently announced an ‘exclusive’ partnership with former Mexican President Vincente Fox and his Guanajuato-based leadership training center Centro Fox. The organization grooms future business and public sector leaders of Mexico and Latin America. The partnership will act as the company’s platform for entry into Mexico. Trivandrum

UST Global has started its expansion plans in Trivandrum with the construction of an own campus, near Technopark. The proposed campus is spread over 36 acres (150,000 m2). The campus will also feature a 12-acre (49,000 m2) waterbody channeling through the various blocks of the campus.[17]

Cisco will use its Smart+Connected Real Estate Solution to wire up the campus.[18] This will converge building, safety, and communications networks onto the open Internet Protocol (IP) standard, streamlining processes by providing a single connection for building management and IT systems. The IP-based network will reduce capital expenditure by simplifying building design and construction, and also enable building managers to reduce carbon footprint and build a sustainable and more energy-efficient environment. This will help the campus achieve a higher rating on the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification.[19]

Kochi

UST Global has a new facility in Leela Infopark, Kochi, Kerala which was unveiled on February 2011. Spread over an area of 34,000 sq ft, the office is styled to the themes of speed, passion and courage to celebrate the company's partnership with Britain-based Formula One (F1) team Marussia Virgin Racing[20]

Chennai

UST Global also has a facility in ASV Suntech Park, Mettukuppam, Chennai.

Social Responsibility

UST Global's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives are geared towards making a meaningful difference to the communities in which they live and work. These initiatives are designed to encourage participation from associates and clients. Their emphasis is on health, education and environment and their primary target groups are women and children. [21] [22]

Controversy

In early 2008, California arbitrators ruled that US Technology Resources, LLC must pay Stephen J. Ross US $7.5 million for his founding interest in the company. The company had disputed the extent of Ross's actual contributions. The arbitration award was then confirmed by the Los Angeles Superior Court and judgment entered in Ross' favor.[23][24]
