Jobs (stylized jOBS[1][2]), is a forthcoming biographical drama film based on the career of late American businessman, designer and inventor Steve Jobs, from 1971 to 2011.[3][4]
It was directed by Joshua Michael Stern, written by Matt Whiteley, and produced by Mark Hulme. Additional production services were provided by Marcos Rodriguez and David C. Traub of Devoted Consultants.
The title role will be played by Ashton Kutcher, with Josh Gad playing the role of Apple Computer's co-founder Steve Wozniak.
Production began in June 2012 with over three days of filming on location at Jobs' childhood home in Los Altos, California, to be followed by 28 days of filming in Los Angeles.
The film was chosen to close the 2013 Sundance Film Festival.[2] The film will be released theatrically in the US on April 19, 2013.
Steve Wozniak has criticized the film for being inaccurate in its portrayal of himself and Steve Jobs.[5]
