Avi Lewis

Avi Lewis is a Canadian television journalist. He is married to author and activist Naomi Klein, and is the son of United Nations Special Envoy for HIV/AIDS in Africa Stephen Lewis, and of Canadian journalist Michele Landsberg.

Lewis was host of The New Music, a music and culture television show on MuchMusic and CityTV in Canada between 1995 and 1998. He went on to host CBC Television's current affairs discussion show, counterSpin. His latest project is a documentary with his wife, Naomi Klein, called The Take that looks at globalization and economic turmoil and reforms in Argentina.
