Marco Aurélio Brito dos Prazeres, usually called Marco Aurélio (born December 15, 1977 in Rio de Janeiro) is a Brazilian football player. He is a midfielder who currently plays for Fenerbahce. So far, he has yet to be capped for Brazil. Rumors surfaced that he wants to get a Turkish passport so he is eligible to play for Turkey. He is 1.78 meters tall and weighs 75 kilograms. His resume includes playing for clubs Olaria, Bangu, Flamengo, Trabzonspor.

Being an attacking midfielder before his arrival to Fenerbahce, Aurélio is a good organizer in the midfield. His high work rate makes him an integral part of his team as he is playing a more defensive role for Fenerbahce.

He has committed himself to the Turkish powerhouse Fenerbahce for three more years during the summer of 2006. With the new announcement of Turkish Football Assosiciation, which says that players that play in Turkey for five consecutive years will be treated the same way with the Turkish players, Aurelio will not be a foreign player for Fenerbahce and will have the chance to play for Turkish National Team if he decides to do so.
