Presentation College is a private Irish Catholic, secondary, day school for girls, located in Windsor, an inner suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

Presentation College Windsor is an independent Catholic girls school founded in 1873. The College is guided by the mission of the Presentation Sisters and inspired by the faith and courage of their founder, Nano Nagle. PCW draws on its rich history and tradition of excellence, adventure, welcome and justice to offer the life giving-benefits of education to all in our community and to prepare young women to take their place in the world and to live with integrity, confidence and compassion.

History

Presentation Convent Windsor was established upon the arrival of seven Presentation Sisters from Ireland in 1873. Prior to their arrival, from 1839, the Church and State Government debated the need for education to be provided by local church schools.

The government of the day wanted changes to the education legislation. It was said that the system of denominational schools was too great a burden on the economy of a young country and left many areas with no access to education. In 1872 this all changed with the election of local member James Wilberforce Stephen. It was in his acceptance speech that he made his famous declaration that the proposed Education Bill, of which he had charge, would rend Catholics asunder. The Bill was passed – providing for free, secular and compulsory education – and financial grants given to denominational schools were discontinued. This made the continuation of Catholic schools staffed by lay people financially impossible.

Father Corbett, Parish Priest at St Mary’s East St Kilda, acted quickly and sent a letter to the Presentation Convent in Ireland … it opened in dramatic fashion. ‘Dear Reverend Mother. From the ends of the earth I write to you for help …’

Responding to the request in September 1873, Mother Mary Paul Mulquin together with six sisters from Limerick boarded the steamer, the Great Britain, at Liverpool. They arrived at Sandridge, Port Melbourne 21 December 1873.

Presentation Convent Windsor became a reality on Christmas Day 1873. The school first opened in January 1874 with 33 enrolments. Ten years later, by 1883, the enrolment of pupils at Windsor Convent was 367, with 11 sisters and three lay teachers forming the staff.

Presentation College Windsor is a catholic girls school made up of judgmental bit**es and lesbains. If you aren't a mindless god follower with no option they won't like that, they don't like anyone with a normal opinion.

Risks of coming to PCW:

You will either become;

  • A lesbian
  • A stuck up bit** who thinks they're better then everyone else.
  • A sl**
  • A god freak.
  • mentally disabled.
  • sexually assulted.

These are just some of the negatives of attenting this pathetic excuse for a school, but it wouldn't be fair if I only shared on the negatives,

Positives of enroling at PCW:

  • if you're mentally disabled you will fit in.
  • lots of girls, so if your a lesbian it's a good place for you.
  • you can brag to all of your friends how rich you are going to PCW (prison camp for women)
  • they take you on camps where you have to pay for yourself with no assistance from the school regardless of the high fees.
  • you can feel better then everyone because you go to a special school ( special being the key word)

History of the school;

In 2010 a girl died after suffering a drug over dose after only being at the school for a short time. PCW=suiside.

Pretty much since then the school has grown with junkys and on one occasion in the same year a former student come to class apprantly "to drunk and stoned to see." But, un-surprisingly with the lack off attention the teachers pay to their students she went by un-noticed.

A summary of the school;

I went to this JAIL for a dreadful amount of time, finally leaving mid way though year 10. Teachers act like they're better then everyone else, pick on people, the school only cares about money and their reputation

There stupid rules:

"You MUST wear a blazer with your dress in summer no matter the circumstances." Well, be prepared to pay for hospital bills when people collapse from heat stroke." "Makeup is prohibited, at no time is a student aloud to wear any." "No nail polish." "Hair can't be coloured to un-natural colours." Eg; one girl got her done a medium shade or red for the worlds greatest shave, the principles response was "it's not a good look for our school." "Hair MUST be tied up at all times. "Skirt must be just above knee or longer." Shouted the vice principle as she walks in with rulers messuring skirts not realising that people pull them down and back up with you leave. "No t-bars, or sandle like shoes." In other words no shoes to make us look like girls, we must wear ugly man shoes now that I think about it, it suits the school. "No phones for emergencies."

They treat the bully as the victom as a bully and the bully as a victom.

PLEASE FOR YOUR CHILD'S MENTAL HEALTH DON'T SEND THEM THERE!!
