One to One was a Canadian pop music group in the 1980s.
Consisting of vocalist Louise Reny and producer Leslie Howe, the group was most successful with its debut album, 1985's Forward Your Emotions. That album spawned three hit singles, "There Was A Time", "Black on White" and "Angel in My Pocket", the latter one which even became a minor hit on the American Billboard Charts.
Their 1988 follow-up album 1-2-1 took a more guitar based pop sound and spawned two smash hits with "Do You Believe" and "Hold Me Now", and two minor hits with "We've Got the Power" and "Love Child"
For their third album, they took on an Adult Contemporary approach, and scored a smash hits with "Friends" and "Peace of Mind (Love Goes On)", the latter which became their 2nd and final hit in America.
Shortly after, Howe and Reny decided to pursue yet another change in musical direction, and joined with three other musicians in the alternative rock band Sal's Birdland, which later morphed into the Artificial Joy Club.
