Kutti Puli (Tamil: குட்டிப்புலி; English: Young Tiger ) is a 2013 Tamil action drama film directed by Muthaiah, starring M. Sasikumar and Lakshmi Menon in the lead.[1] The film opened to mixed reviews.[2]

The film's score and soundtrack are composed by M Ghibran along with lyricist Vairamuthu after their critically acclaimed album 'Vaagai Sooda Vaa'. Saregama south has bagged the audio rights of Kuttipuli.[3] The soundtrack was released on May 20, 2013 and received positive reviews.[4]

Box Office
The film despite negative reviews opened strongly at the box office.
Release
The film is said to have been acquired for a large sum of money by Red Giant Movies and Sun Pictures.[5] The film was released in 320 screens on May 30, 2013.[6] Red Giant Movies has sold the NSC area distribution rights to AGS Entertainment. The film was certified U/A by Censor Board.
Critical reception
Hindu wrote:"This film, itself, is something of a menagerie, a hodgepodge of “mass” elements. There’s romance, fights, thaali-centered drama, drumstick-centered comedy, and — above all — unceasing amma sentiment".[7] Behindwoods wrote:"And if you are the type who would go gaga over mother sentiment, mindless violence, punch dialogues, Kuttipuli may work for you".[8] Indian express wrote:"Kutti Puli is probably the least exciting and engaging of Sasikumar starrers".[9]
