List of programs broadcast by Adult Swim

This is a list of programs broadcast on Adult Swim, Cartoon Network's late night programming block, in the United States. Although both networks share the same bandwidth, Adult Swim is classified as a separate entity for the purposes of Nielsen ratings. Unlike most networks, Adult Swim usually allows former programming to return production, be it on air or a spin-off. Because of this, even if a show is listed under section listing canceled programming, there is a chance it may return in the future.

If an episode carried a particular rating descriptor (e.g. -D, -L, -S, -V), that descriptor will be listed. Otherwise, a generic rating without descriptors (usually TV-PG, TV-14, or TV-MA) will be listed in the rating column.

Shows listed are primarily animated, unless noted otherwise.

Blocks

  • Toonami (2012–present) – An animated programming block geared toward action-oriented programming, primarily consisting of American cartoons and Japanese anime. First aired on Cartoon Network from 1997 to 2008, and managed by Williams Street (formerly known as Ghost Planet Industries at the time of creation). On April 1, 2012, Toonami was rebroadcast as part of an April Fools joke on Adult Swim, but quickly gained popularity on social networks, which influenced a full-fledged revival of the block. The revival premiered Saturday May 26, 2012.
  • DVR Theater (2010–present) – A half-hour block that airs weeknights from 4:00 a.m.–4:30 a.m., primarily consisting of obscure programming that has been acquired or original programming that has ended long after.
