Hello, while this is a good start, you weaken your case by not providing a clear WP:Lead section.
Wikipedia articles are not simply chronological, your very first paragraph should succinctly explain why the subject is important and worth reading about. For comparison, note that the article Abraham Lincoln starts out "was an American president" and not "was born in a log cabin".
Please head up your article with a brief intro paragraph, such is standard in every other Wikipedia biography. Otherwise a reviewer has to go squinting through your article to figure out why this guy is even worth writing about, which does not get you a strong start. - Nice work! I made a few tweaks, adding wikilinks and categories, etc. but overall you got it 85% of the way there. So published and all good. Two short-run cleanup tasks you can help with:
- Please fill out the "PERSONDATA" form at the very bottom of the article (visible only in Edit mode)
- If you can find a not still in copyright" photo of Hornung, you can upload it to Wikimedia Commons, but it has to be very definitely out of copyright. For UK I believe it's "75 years after photographers death", but there's also some exemption something like "70 [100] years and nobody has asserted a copyright claim to it:. In any case, for Wikimedia Commons it's a huge public-domain type repository, so it takes a little bit of fiddling to get it properly loaded up, choosing the right clicks and all. Or if you have a photo still in copyright, you can load one such photo directly to Wikipedia under WP:Fair use and paste it into the article. If you have trouble with images, check in at WP:Teahouse and they can walk you through it, since it's a bit annoying the first time you try it.
- Good job, and hope to see more from you in the future! MatthewVanitas (talk) 17:04, 17 September 2013 (UTC)
